I'm your typical CPA who is striving to live a healthy and balanced life while working in accounting. Striving to realize my full potential with lots of coffee along the way.
I upload a new video every Sunday/Monday. Subscribe and enjoy!
Thank you! So positive, and simple! It's been so hard to have life practically stopped since the injury, but I've been lifting myself up, and your advices definitely help that I am on a right track!!
Wish I had that pillow! I am 3 and a half weeks post op and feeling better- just insanely bored. 33 days to go till the cast comes off. I had the same injury and surgery but due to so many problems, I couldn't have the surgery until 6 weeks after the break. So it will 14 weeks of non weight bearing. Ugh! I'd like to add that I got a bedside toilet which has been a godsend. Also, a grabber is necessary!
Just had ankle surgery I’m having terrible pain no sleep, the ace bandage wrapped around the ankle is too painful anyway I can’t remove the ace bandage for some type of relief
Love your animals Tanner. Do you now have a functional training machine ? What do you think about them and how durable would the cables, pulleys, trolleys be ? Are these things repairable ? thank you
Amazing questions! To this day I still do not own any functional training machine. Not to say there is anything wrong with them but prefer to own equipment to train with that I would use in a competition. I’d imagine they are not as durable as only forms of workout equipment should be replaceable in the event they break.
I’m sorry to hear that! Working that many hours just leads to diminishing returns. Encouraging team members to get 7 yields a higher return during working hours from a rested brain.
Passing the CPA exams is when you study hard, if you can't study or you don't have time for your studies I'd advise you get yourself a help like Mr Dylan
I heard most people get ankle arthritis after this injury. Hows your ankle doing in regards to that? And what are you doing to prevent the onset of it in the future?
Use a Roque on the regular and it tracks calories , watts and distance …they are freaking indestructible by mere mortals. They should remake it to the Puke master….
Get a pee bottle/urinal! I don't know why this isn't mentioned as it's the lowest cost item to make things easier. Did you really get up and use your knee scooter every time?
This is a great video, I'm completely torn on which to buy for my home gym. From experience, there's no way to get the peak Echo intensity out of the BikeERG. But the bike has a smaller footprint for a home gym where space is at a premium. And the bike also has better workout versatility. I've already got a SkiERG and WaterRower which give me that lower intensity burn... Maybe I go Echo!
I feel like everything you explained in this video can be applied to auditors at all levels. Is that what you think? Plus what are key metrics you looked at when you differentiated a high, average, and weak auditor?
Any tips for exercising / keep muscle progress while recovering? I have some dumbbells I was thinking of implementing to keep the progress I made in defining my arms, but I don’t know the best way to do this while keeping the leg elevated. Going to check out some more RU-vid videos about this, too!
Thank you for sharing! I had the exact same break. I am a pretty active person who enjoys barre and weight lifting, so when I found out I wouldn’t be back to 100% for about a year I was sad. Plus, a lot of my summer plans got pushed away. I agree the hardest thing is keeping the leg elevated. I want to go have dinner with friends and family, play my instrument, etc which require me to sit and I can’t have the leg up as high as it needs to be. I’m hoping once I get my cast in a week I can spend more time seated!
The Concept damper is an advantage but the fact that you can't push or pull the handlebars is a complete fail. I mean, if my legs are tired, I can still get a good upper body workout on most assault bikes. I can go for chest or lower lats too a bit more by concentrating on pushing or pulling; The Concept 2 bike is therefore a non starter
Does the Echo work well for longer steady state training at 140-160HR for 30+ minutes? Is there risk for repetitive injury with your hands on the handlebars?
I have the echo - you can go long distance with the echo but must keep a close eye on your Heart Rate as it can easily increase and have you out of breath in seconds. Basically it’s possible but more difficult to do I wouldn’t do long distance on echo
This is silly but for your barbells did you lay them on the ground in the trailer/pod or stand them up vertically and secure them with straps to save space
I just found your injury videos. And I’m glad I have. I’m 5 weeks out from my ankle surgery And I’ve been an athlete my entire life. I’m curious how far you’ve come and how well you were able to recover.
How can you say the C2 is more versatile. You can do one thing, bike long distance and use one muscle group. The echo is clearly the more versatile. They are both great and can't really be compared to one another because they have fundamentally different uses, BUT if you had to, you could use the Echo for long distance, just legs... You could not use your arms on the other.
Thank you for the review and your thoughts on the device. I have the adjustable tension one and totally agree with you, great workout. I'm surprised at the tone of some of the comments, but, that's the Internet, brings out the nasties :)
Dear Tanner, Just wanted to know how CPA will be helpful for those people who are associated with Investment Banking Domain. How CPA would help for them? Thanks Manoj
Got to a cross fitt gym or just get free weights if your starting, this is worth 180 you could get nice cheap bench set up or free weight set up and I’ve used a speed bag and there’s no ways this good simulator for actually boxing technique, just wanna say this for new people cause this is a scam if your just getting started
