Thank you for checking out my channel. I upload weekly... well sometimes I do. I kinda get bursts of creativity and then it dies off for awhile so get ready for a sporadic ride of inconsistency and dedication. I enjoy creating videos about Personal Finance, Minimalism and different challenges for saving money (currently on a No Buy Year). This is a fun hobby for me where I can connect with others on topics that I love to engage with. So please if you feel comfortable and are willing to share I am always up for hearing others perspectives, experiences, tips and advice or even if you just want to say hi. See you in the comments and looking forward to some chats :)
I am over 50 and started sleeping on the floor by accident after a back pain from work many years ago. I sleep on a thin carpet covered with bed sheet at night and one pillow. I didn't know the benefits then but I felt so good, I still sleep on the carpet. My headache, back pain, hip pain, stiff neck and shoulder all gone little by little. Some creepy crawler have easy access to me but still sleep on the floor.
4:51 I also used to study and do homeworks on the floor finding it so natural! My mom kept saying to sit nicely at the table but I didn’t like it as much as homeworks doing on the carpet 😂 And I did it intuitively correct for my body!
Hi! Do you still use this setup of your floor bed or did you upgrade to some kind of futon to have less layers and something more practical? It’s day 5 for me, the worst it was the second day before adding more cushioning - i just slept on an old thin yoga mat and a carpet straight off😅 I felt my hip bones as a back AND side sleeper lol! Learned I have to first ADJUST my routine and have more cushioning before sleeping on almost hard floor. Today I even forgot my knee pillow sleeping on my back during the night too (I fell asleep on my side) and I had no straining in my lower back (they say you should use a knee pillow when sleeping on back to lower your lower back position but I felt okay! So grateful I came across floor sleeping! I feel like camping haha!
I'm coming into this very late, but I am confused. Most of us have mortgages, car loans, and groceries to pay for and I'm not seeing this in the calculations. While I love that saving over 24K that year was amazing, the remaining money, if it were in my life, would have gone to my cell phone, housing and utilities, and vehicle costs. I definitely would not have 'saved' much more than the 24K which is still amazing and I'm also still planning on doing a low buy 2024. Just curious about the other items and expenses.
She says she paid $100 week to her Mum for rent, so that's $5200. She acknowledges that she is very fortunate compared to others. Good luck on yr low buy. It's hard but worth it!
Oooooo! I wish you had bought the block crayons by stock mar instead. We have amazing results with ours. They layer so beautifully!! I use them e my kindergarteners

I know you started this at the beginning of the year but I started oct 1 2023 and I’m going until oct 1 2024 I really appreciate you’re breakdown I tried to do with you a few years back but failed miserably I feel with my season of life I’m very motivated to do it now I love that little trinket you found!
This video is fabulous and applies to compulsive overeating as well. I am going to write a list of things I don’t buy and things I don’t eat! Excellently explained. More please😍
I got a 1.25" mattress topper from Walmart and put it on the floor and it was so comfy. I should lie blankets on top though so it's more comfortable. I was really sick and sweating really bad and the memory foam was really uncomfortable. I'm going to try again
