Cinephile, amateur critic and video essayist. No movie is off limits! From Bergman to Boorman, from Batman Returns to Batman Begins, new and old alike! This is basically my excuse to talk about movies, so I hope that's something you enjoy ...
I was ten when it was released and me and my cousins managed to sneak the video of it what my uncle had rented into my cousins bedroom we watched it and it scared us to death but what a film and what an impact it's had
I saw this at the theater and saw the original ending. I still prefer it to the explosion one. I also still think the line "I've always wanted to make love to an angry welder" is hilarious.
I've never sat straight through this one, so I've only seen parts of it. Bess Armstrong's delivery of "... inside the park!" is so-bad-it's-hilarious, but much of the movie feels like a slog.
Thank you so much for your amazing documentary on this movie enjoyed it probably more than the damn movie lol. But all bs aside. The movie wasn't that bad, it had a decent concept going for it
Regardless of how bad these Jaws sequels were, they were still a huge part of my childhood and I have a lot of fond memories watching them on TV or on VHS after taping them from TV broadcasts. Jaws 3 may have actually been my second favorite, although even at the time I knew that there was something weird about those low-res opticals. I guess I just assumed that's what 3D effects looked like at the time, lol.
Crazy Ralph does actually return to the franchise one more time. He does the creepy narration at the beginning of part seven the new blood. And it’s the same actor and everything. Great little detail.
The original is best. Although I love T2, I was annoyed at how they watered it down to a 15 and wouldn't let Terminator kill anyone. The rest of the franchise is a farce.
What a strange way for Jaws: the Revenge to try to distance itself from Jaws 3-D by asking Dennis Quaid to come back to play Mike Brody. And Bess Armstrong too?
i remember seeing this on the big screen as a kid. me and my sister loved the movies, wed watch them all the time. would love another jaws movie now honestly.
I loved Jaws, probably one of my favourite movies of all time. But what really made it for me was the performances and relationship between the 3 stars, Shaw, Scheider, and Dreyfuss. I read the book before the film came out and saw the movie in first release. I saw Jaws 2 when it was first released, and found it to be a cheap reflection of the original, without the relationship between the 3 adult stars to knot it together. Even though I was around their age, I found the young actors to be shallow scream fodder. It did, in comparison, underline just how good the original was.
Jaws 3 is a missed oportunity. The setting in a park, and two sharks instead of just one, had many chances to make a good fun gory B series movie. I used to like the movie when I was young, but I saw it few months ago, and I was surprised to see how slow and boring it is.
Well, when people are rude between “hello” and “ goodbye”; and expect good treatment? He should have apologized for being an immigrant so early in American culture.
I much prefer ‘Swordsmen 2’ starring the legendary Lin Ching Hsia. Her weapon of choice is just mind blowing. ‘Hero’ is excellent too with its deep meaning.
