I'm really looking forward to you firing up this podcast again. I don't play WoW anymore because I only really play VR games (can't do MMOs anymore due to hand issues from playing MMOs too much..) and I kinda lived vicariously though your podcast every week. It's been sad without it, I have no idea what's going on in WoW at all. Also.. Metzen being back and this expansion, very very very exciting. So much.
I had someone explain this to me about work recently: If you do the work for the week and you get your paycheck, you don't owe anyone anything; you're square with the company. if they don't pay you, well then that's a different story.
Parable of Work Loyalty: Companies will try to get the most work out of employees for the least amount of money; Employees do the least amount of work for the most money. Equilibrium between those two is loyalty.
Big congratz! Tanking is good fun (been tank since the very (real vanilla) beginning - no family alfa though) and picked up healing along the way. Now i start with healing to learn the instance and switch later to tank, when I have memorized my way around the dungeon and only see boss-crotches
I hope you know a different podcast has taken the name 'The Instance' while yours was off the air for a bit. Might want to get that sorted out, it will mess with your channel's SEO
I agree about panda gear. I have all this bronze from the remix and I looked at the vendor sets but they were all ugly to me so I guess I’ll spend it all on mounts or toys.
So here's my pov, the entire sets of Panda Remix can look ugly. But sometimes some mog sets need that ONE specific piece that the "ugly" set coincidentally had. I just collect it because there are too many moments I needed just that one specific appearance/piece.
@@eleesium8407 true I did pick up some cool pieces here and there but very few full sets. I hope they continue to do these remixes at the end of expansions. It was fun.
So weird, I was wondering what you were up to and then RU-vid suggested this video before I checked your channel.. looking forward to the new show... and Koltrane at the end.. my gosh.. hitting all the nostalgia!
On the topic of not staying close with high school friends: I’ll be 42 next month and four of my best friends I’ve had since elementary school. Our greater friend group of about ten were all choir kids in HS and have been close ever since. We are definitely an outlier though. Every time one of us got a new partner and they would be introduced to the group, they would be like “This is not normal, but it’s awesome.” I feel very lucky to have stayed so close to them for all those time. We’ve all put in the work to keep the friendships going and it’s so worth it.
Hell yeah man. Super excited to have the Instance again. I think the monthly episodes are a good idea. Helps with burn out too. I would rather have the Instance once a month vs not having it. Excited to see you guys back!
I was an idiot teenager when i tanked for the first time. I made a macro to spam "heal me!". I dont know what i was thinking. Like i thought healers couldn't tell when i needed healing. I eventually made a priest because i was tired of looking for healers. I've been a healer for the last 16+ years.
Healing is a lot easier, imo. You don't need to lead the group, you just follow and keep people alive. I think Resto Shaman healing is the easiest but I hear Holy Priest is also easy. Also, grab Healbot Continued.
I play Two Point Hospital nowadays. I love the tongue-in-cheek humor, beautiful art direction and aesthetics. This game still holds up today with a few minor improvements Two Point had (Why was bloated head dropped?). I never liked sim games much, just wasn't for me, but this game I absolutely loved playing. Another great episode!
Nice one! Speaking of first times in WoW, I just tonight got finished levelling my thirteenth max level character, and so for the first time have one of every class! All DPS of course xD Some were done in three hours in Timerunning, some were old alts at about level 50 I got caught up through the prepatch event.
congrats man! i love the follower dungeons for practice. i have a 10 yr daughter and she plays with me. so she follows me around while i tank and practice my build lol great bonding time
The follower dungeons gave me all kinds of help in this regard. Plus it was nice to see those dungeons for once and not just be stressed about getting through them. Smell the roses and all that.
I used to be primary raid healer up to and through BC, I also ran with the guilds B team as DPS in Karazhan and one of our tanks was no show, so I hopped on my Druid who had only done dungeons up to that point, and in crafted and dungeon blues was able to tank up to Curator. I was hooked on raid tanking from there on.
Nice! Tanking in MMOs sounds way too stressful for me, so I've never tried! In WoW I usually play as a Disc priest and would join groups as DPS so I can focus on damage, but still side-heal since it's in my nature. Back in Overwatch I almost always played as Mercy. One time I was playing the mode where you get a random character, got Reinhardt and somehow got MVP tanking. I was super proud of myself for branching out, but after that I still went back to playing as Mercy. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
