After years and years of taking synthroid and levothyrioxin, my new Dr. finally listened to me and changed me to Armour. I told her about your video and asked if she could switch me to Armour. I’m 62 and hoping this will be better for me. Took my first dose today. Hearing all the positive feedback, I hope it works for me. BTW, my 30 day supply was only about $12.
When it comes to genetics we’re not all created equally, some people will struggle more than others to reach their goals based on their genetics, while some people will have completely different goals altogether (i.e. the skinny guy who has to force-feed himself to gain weight/muscle), not everyone’s goal is weight loss. Having said that, there are almost zero side effects to proper diet & exercise. It takes longer, requires more effort & consistency, but the results are far more aesthetically pleasing & indirectly help develop healthy habits - even if the short-term goal is vanity. Any medication (& nearly all weight loss medications do this..) prescribed for weight loss is going to target & burn lean muscle tissue… some people refer to this body type as “skinny fat”. So if your objective is to look better, there really is no substitute for a calorie-restricted diet combined with adequate resistance/cardio exercise & rest/recovery. It may not have the instantly gratifying results that we’d all like to have, but just like anything else, anything worth having takes time & effort.
I would do love to ask a couple of questions. My situation is unique enough that no one ever addresses it. If there is somewhere I can post them and get actual answers let me know.
Am losing weight and am using levothymxine am using 75 mg and i start with 100 mg av been using it for 4 years and am losing weight seriously pls kindly advise me should i change my drug? And which drug can i change to thank you dr
I fell for the dinner one. He claimed he could cure my thyroid and it would cost me $600 a month for 6 months. It was $6,000 a month he took me off all my meds and put me on his patented diet plan of 10 foods of which 3 I could tolerate. There was irreparable damage done to my thyroid. I did talk to one of the consults. They first told me under active thyroid was graves not hashimotos. Both functional doctors. Then they told me they could not legally do virtual consults with me in my state, so I would have to drive to a park in another state to do a consult with them if we continued. (What?) I did try a health coach and hormone doctor. Health coach dropped me saying I was to much of a health risk due to my extreme weight yo yoing. Thankfully the hormone doctor has me in balance, took me 15 years.
You pea out excess Iodine! DR. David Brownstein knows everything about Iodine you do not.....DR.David Brownstein has two daughters that have been taking Iodine since they were ten years old and they are in their 30s now.... There thyroids are doing great!😊
I had a biopsy yesterday on a nodule that had doubled in size in 4 yrs time . I have a total of 6 the other 5 haven’t grown as large I was told they would numb me the insert a small needle for aspiration they ended up having to stick me 4 times 2 with a 22 syringe and 2 time with a 25. The only notice that I am fatigued quickly but I almost passed from Covid 3 yrs ago so I haven’t been very healthy since then.
Have had swollen lymph nodes and vague symptoms for about 4 years now. Back in 2021 there were no abnormalities on the ultrasound (some lymph nodes looked swollen but still in normal range) but last year I started to get a pressure sensation in the front of my neck. It comes and goes, but when the pressure is there it’s impossible to lie flat on my back because the pressure gets too intense. They did another ultrasound and sure enough there was a tiny 2mm nodule that wasn’t there before. Dr said it’s impossible for the nodule to cause these kinds of symptoms so I’m at a dead end. Could we be missing something? Is a CT/MRI scan better for finding nodules/growths? I feel like something is choking me, definitely feels like there’s something physical there. Also, the lymph nodes in my neck are going crazy… and so am I 🥲
It’s way more difficult when one has to take BP meds twelve hours apart which for me means 10 am and 10 pm and with this med I have to take it four hours apart. A real dilemma!
Thankyou Dr. Child's, please can you clear up an issue for me. I am taking 75mcg levothyroxine and I have just bought 150mcg daily tablets of iodine. I cannot find a video that informs me if it us OK to take iodine while you are on Levothyroxine, please can you let me know, I am scared of taking them as there is some info that says it might send the TSH levels up to high, it might worsen and block the job of Levothyroxine, what's your knowledge on this?
Doctor please help me, what should i do or medicine should i take because i mistakenly had thyroid medicine ? I just had it once and after i got symptoms of hyperthyroidism, and may i know how long it will take ? Please doctor i need your help 😭

Thanks for these helpful tips. What is your thought on using stem cell therapy for those patients with thyroidectomy? Will it help manage the activation of T3?
