My channel is best described by the excitement of building Inventions in Woodworking and Metalworking. If your looking for Comedy and Woodworking at the same time... You probably found a channel to subscribe too. I build stuff for myself and friends. I find things in life that I could make that would solve a problem. Many times it may not exist. If it does, its probably too expensive and magically in marriage.. Your money suddenly turns into "OUR" money.
I started Woodworking around the age of 12. My dad taught me how to use his tools in our garage. I became comfortable at the band saw. At the time Square wasn't in my vocabulary. Nothing I made didn't have a gap to it. I hacked things together, but dad never told me I did wrong. Fast forward 24 years later. I built my own shop.. Corrected the bad habits and retaught myself how to do it right. My projects may still have gaps but I shove enough sawdust and glue mixed in it and put that side in the corner now.. LOL
Forgive me for saying the word Starbond 5 Billion times in this video..😂 They really are a great company and a great super glue. I did this video for them a few months back and wanted to share all the inventions I designed for this video with you. It took me about 4 months to design all the inventions, make the backgrounds and shoot and edit this video. Thanks to all my subscribers for all the love and support for the channel! Would love for you to Smash the Thumbs up button or leave me a comment if you liked it! Look me up on Instagram (instagram.com/woodencreationz/) for even more inventions and silliness almost daily that never makes the channel. Next video coming soon. Thanks!
Hi, excellent training video but I have a question, if you're design in vcarve pro, what is the post processor you are using for open the file in UGS? Thank you.
I loved mine so much I bought a second one with the AMS lite again. Its an incredible machine, but the AMS lite has occasional issues thinking filament is jammed when spools get low and have higher tension pulls.
I was recently given a new Bob’s CNC and stumbled upon your video when searching for software. Wow, you did a great job on this video! Very informative. I feel like I can at least begin to use the cnc just watching this video. You may have made this video 1 years ago, but it’s still helping people! Thank you!
You need to make this more objective by using a "digital ear" that you plug the earbuds into and it shows a digital readout of the decibals. You have a digital sound meter but that's the sound without the earbuds.
On long jobs I will run it for an hour… open the doors to let it cool off and sweep it out while I wait. I blow compressed air on the router to clean off the dust build up. Then fire it back up about 4-5 minutes later. I had this box in the video for about 3 years and never burnt up a router. I have a new larger box with a bigger cnc and had it 2 1/2 years and never burnt up a router on it either. I put a temp gauge in the box. When it gets up to the 90s I let the box cool off. If you think about it people in Arizona use cncs in hotter weather so really it’s fine. If I had ever burnt up a router I would think different but so far it seems to work great keeping sound down and dust to zero. Hope that helps. 👊🏻
Hey WoodenCreationZ, I have watched this video and it is excellent. I have added the extension bed to my Evolution 4. I am confused about the UGS. Is that a special program. I am using Basic Cam and Basic Sender. Can you direct me?
Ugs is another program for sending the created cam file to the cnc. It’s just like basic sender. So if you are using basic cam and basic sender you won’t need ugs. You can use basic cam and ugs if you wanted. It’s just another program option that can help you send the file to the cnc. I have other videos on Vcarve showing how to use ugs if you want to see what it looked like. 👊🏻
Just wondering what a layer of eggcrate foam would do. You see it used in sound studios all the time to absorb acoustic reflections. Nice you care about the neighbors. I don't like to use my metal abrasive saw as it's so darn loud.
You will need to pick up a collet that will fit your router. They make a 1/4 collet and 1/8 collet. You put the bit in those and then tighten. Look on Amazon. 👊🏻
Great tutorials! I am BRAND new to CNC and maybe you can help. I am trying to make a sign where the letters are raised. When I create the pocket cut it ends up wanting to cut everything, including the letters and small graphic. Thanks for the tutorials and thanks in advance if you can give some guidance!
This is infinitely more valuable than a lot of other AI-narrated disasters in other videos out there! Proof that humans will win, in the end! This was really helpful in helping me decide whether to buy the CNC quantum max!
That’s Awesome man!! Yeah I can’t stand the ai voiceovers… Even if you are hard selling me on a product, I will listen to a human point out the pros and cons of something before sit through those! Thanks for the comment!
It’s the exact same thing. Cyanoacrylate is super glue. All superglue manufactures, make relatively the same thing only differences some are fresher than others, or some may be stronger than others, and have a longer shelf life. The dollar store superglue won’t be as high-quality and will likely be pretty runny and messy. While Starbond and others be higher quality with thickening agent to slow it down. Making it easier to work with.
Do you know how I ended up here on this video this morning? Because I went to soften some cream cheese in the microwave. What the hell is in cream cheese that would make it spark. And to be clear, I never used an knife on it, and I did not have it in its original package, it was in a small glass, Tupperware. I also removed everything from the Tupperware and put it back on the microwave and it was not the Tupperware. The Philadelphia original cream cheese will spark in the microwave. What the hell is that about?
Loved this video. Was a big help in finding a free program as well as how to use it. I’m a hobbyist right now with some CNC basic background and using a Genmitsu 3018 to play around with for now. Thanks for the great video.
Thanks Ryan! You know what it’s awesome that Bob did it so we could have a free software and it’s open to any cnc. Easel was free back in the day and then it went behind a pay wall. Greatly appreciate the comment bud. Brian
Wire with red tape on it goes in Hold, other wire goes in Resume. This is found on the back of the cnc in the Arduino board. 👊🏻 Also a pic on my website if you need a visual. Have any other questions let me know! Thanks Brian woodencreationz.com/bit-stopper-1
I'm a model railroader and have been using super glue and baking soda for years as a filler. It sands nicely and is very easy to work with. Holds paint quite well too. Cheers from eastern TN
I stumbled on this, and was like, ok, router software for $350 with some subscription cost, but a bummer that they have you by the coconuts by not allowing local storage. I worked for some CAD CAM companies that are well known now, and the quite expensive certainly is relative! I assume this is router specific or 2d machining related which is understandable to not need complex multiaxis and robot automated M/T centers with virtual environments etc. I guess I am just happy to hear that the under multi-thousand dollar option is a thing, but to not take away negative impressions of the top shelf options out there it is fair to say that the complexity and bandwidth from a small business to aerospace corporation is a very different animal, so not a good comparison. Just thought I'd comment, got thrown off by the "very expensive" comment regarding the 350, lol, 😯.....and I'm not poking fun, just such haven't heard that number in that context with CAM stuff. Believe me, I wouldn't want to push out a few hundered either for any software, and at the least they should not hold your projects hostage to leverage maintenance costs for software. That seems criminal to me. Low blow with that low cost, so I guess in time and intellectual property you are paying much more than a low front. Shame on the guys running a software op with your data held ransom. Geez. Well happy machining and keep up good educational videos!
Thanks for the comment! Yeah it frustrates me the software's that hold your files and don't let you get to keep them. That was why bob wrote this one. Yeah the bobs cncs are great options getting started for the first time or just looking for something bigger and an affordable option. Appreciate the comment.
