The point of the piece is to bring the listener on a journey of a river from headwaters to it's "firth" the inlet to the sea - so the lyrics and the musical construction should be enjoyed and interpreted from this perspective

It sounds like you may not know what happened so I’ll fill ya in. If you didn’t know this info then you subconsciously knew. (or however you would word it) because you used the words “have to” when you said ‘lil Kim was fine, why did she have to get all that surgery.’ Kim started dating a guy named Damion ‘world’ Hardy about 5-6 years after Big died. Hardy was a bad dude in the streets of Brooklyn and is currently serving life in prison for ordering the hits on 6 people. Anyway, Hardy was very physically abusive to Kim and one day he beat her badly and broke her nose; she ended up in the ER and had to get surgery done to fix the break. Not even 24 hours after the surgery, Hardy beat her badly again, re-breaking her nose, sending her back to the ER and she had to get another surgery to re-fix her nose. Thankfully they broke up after this and he never abused her again (as far as she’s ever said in interviews. She has spoke about the abuse and surgeries in a few interviews when the radio DJ or interviewer has asked about it) She has stated that she had one more nose surgery because she was having such a hard time breathing, which not only kept her from getting a good quality nights sleep, but it also caused her to struggle with breath control so she always sounded so out of breath during live performances. Her deviated septum was fixed and she said it felt better but she is realistic and knows that it’ll never be back to normal (pre-domestic violence and 3 surgeries) So no she didn’t want to get anything done to her nose, she was forced to; the only surgery she ever stated that she *wanted* to get was a boob job, to have breasts. Kim is only 4’11 and back when she first came into the rap game she barely weighed 100lbs, she felt she was pretty flat chested so she wanted to get implants so she “didn’t look like/have the body of, a little boy.” She also had a baby and has gained some weight in her later years, given how short she is pretty much any weight gain is going to look/be significantly noticeable on her tiny body. She may not look as gorgeous as she did in this video (and so many others!!) but she’s still the same Lil’ Kim that can rhyme harder than a lot of the men in the rap game when she was coming up!
