Spiraling diablo pellets is due to The Dzhanibekov Effect. As pellet spin it tries to flip over but cannot because airflow drag on its tail end is preventing it. But the farthest the pellet the slower it goes... the lesser the tail drag... the worse the spiraling. You can't stop this from happening. Because 1st nothings perfect: pellet shape, pellet mass distribution and 2nd most importantly a perfect pellet spinning vs pellet flight path: the more gyroscopic stabilization you have the more angle you'll have at longer range between spinning axis and flight path/airflow drag. Enough to initiate Dzhanibekov Effect... Airflow drag prevent it at beginning of flight but... initiate it at some point toward the end... You can only mitigate it using: 1 - diablo pellet with higher (diameter/length) ratio (for a given caliber it means using shorter pellets) 2 - or lower twist rate. This is logic remember: given a caliber heavier pellet are longer... which in turn need faster twist rate... for bullet shaped slugs not diablo one! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Xrf1HzFJ8jc.htmlsi=9SSY4AG0boOzVt26 ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-1VPfZ_XzisU.htmlsi=7UcEdvh0DZyLdOt_
the general value is around 3,6mm , but this number is always a little different and it also depends on whether the regulator has not been out of the rifle for a long time.
Hi, if you mean the stock, then no, it's still an airgun, so there are fundamental differences, the main ones are for example the hole for the regulator and pressure gauge + supply tubes
you can find the standard M24 serial pruduction here, where you can also make a purchase if you meet the country's export rules : www.militaryairgun.com/114-airguns-pcp
Good afternoon, I love your videos and I have decided to ask you a technical question, I have a Hatsan Factor without a regulator and I would like to be able to put it on so that the shots are more stable, but my doubt is that if I put it on, the selection wheel that it has Would the power be cancelled? Would it always shoot at the same power and speed? Regardless of the power selector number I choose? Or am I wrong? Thank you.
Hello, I'm glad you like the videos. Once the regulator is installed you will be able to limit the power to the rifle via the adjustment wheel on the rifle as this limits the flow to the barrel and this will work after the regulator is installed.
So if I put the altaros regulator, this regulator will not influence depending on whether the power selector is at 1,2 or 3. Because if the regulator is set to 140, for example, the same air will come out in position 1 as in position 3 or a different amount of air will come out, regardless of whether the regulator is set. thank you
@@josetraperomartinez9978 the output pressure from the regulator is the same for all settings, but if you limit the size of the hole (transferport) between the valve and the barrel, a different total amount of air passes through at the same pressure but different hole size. So for each setting there will be a different total power/muzzle velocity.
59gr for a .22.....that's real heavy. How faat are you slinging them in this video? The gun must have a HUGE plenum and/or the reg presdure is set to like 250 bar. ...iving you unteathered 3 shots or so 😂
266m/s and neither. The power is achieved, thanks to the unbeatable concept of the Altaros M24 rifle system. The output pressure is 190bar and the volume of the chamber with regulated pressure is small below 30 cc
@@AirgunRegulator 266(m/s) is somewhat low i'd argue. I get that a PCP becomes more efficient with decreasing velocity...but imho 300(m/s) is the optimal velocity. Lower velocities will increase the hang time which in turn increases ilexposure time to wind. Instinctively, i'd trade mass of the bullet for velocity keeping the energy constant. Have you tried that? Does a heavy slug really justify the tradeoff?
@@aleksandrsnaumovs4277 I am able to get them at 300m/s, but it is a disadvantage, as at this speed the total wind deviation is bigger than at 280m/s, as you are already moving in the transonics area (over 0.8 mach).
The information is in the text below the video and the main information can be found here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-HfX-zaaURkg.html
I have an Artemis lp400 and I was wondering if anyone knew how I could bypass the automatic trigger locking function so I could pump it up several times to get more power. Is it possible or am I barking up the wrong tree. Please help, thanks
Thank you for the subject, but since the original filling pin and therefore the quick coupling are non -standard and incompatible, so it is enough to settle on the bottle or pump the right quick connection and then there is no error
@@semproniodensso3353 No is not, moreover, it's not a good idea because this manufacturer should start using standard pins like everyone else, standardization in this respect is a good way
The regulator type that needs to have an atmosphere connection uses atmospheric pressure as a reference value if it does not connect with the atmosphere, then over time could change the output pressure.
Waiting on some more 50g altaro slugs to come in for I can review with with my .25 Vulcan 3! Unfortunately I ran out of them just as I figured the tune out. Shot a 2inch gong at 300 yards 8 shots in a row and a 4inch gong at 500 yards 6 shots in a row! Will be reviewing these in the next couple weeks. I’m a big fan so far, also going to try the 60grains. Cheers from Oregon 👍💯🍻
Hey altaros . I have a the same barrel in a custom condor. Was wondering if you guys are running the old TR of 1:18 or the new ones after covid which is a 1:16 .. any information highly appreciated 👍 , nice shooting btw, big fan of you guys 😊
I have been wanting to try the Altaros slugs in both my FX Impact and Skout Epoch . Not at this distance lol but 200-400 yards . Enjoyed your video ! 👍🇺🇸
thanks, yes they work well in both FX and Scoutn rifles as shown by a recent competition in the 🇺🇸 USA on100 yards, where the first 6 places were taken by shooters with FX and Scout rifles and all of them were using our APT slugs.
Is the 2 shot hunting magazine shorter than the 5 shot magazine or are they the same length with the difference being the follower? The website states it comes with one 5 shot and one 2 shot hunting magazine. I’d prefer something shorter for the 2 shot magazine so it doesn’t protrude out as much
www.militaryairgun.com/2030-large_default/altaros-m24.jpg here is a photo of a hunters magazine attached to the rifle. Hunting magazine is practically just a box for 2 slugs and works as a plug when using a single load adapter.
Understood so it will function as both a magazine and a plug. Meaning I can still load one in. The chamber and put two in the hunting magazine for a total 3 repeating shots?
@@jaydoes2166 yes, a maximum of 2+1 shots, but it is necessary to take into account that the rifle does not have a weapon safety, so it is then loaded.
Most people simply don't understand how hard this is to do. Even when it takes several shots to do it. Of course, those folks don't shoot, let alone shoot airguns.
Thank you. You are right that even most firearms shooters do not shoot at such a long distance. Airgun shotes don't at all, so even they don't have much chance to compare the difficulty with their standard distance at which they shoot. People who don't shoot at all can't imagine the difficulty at all, that's just a fact. I made this video mainly for people who know from their own experience how difficult it is to shoot at these distances and I got really good feedback from these few people, which I really appreciate. Generally, a quote from Leonardo Da Vinci fits this topic: " You do ill if you praise, but worse if you censure, when you do not properly understand. "
do you guys size the bullets down to 0.2155 because of the length ? curious to know till what Slug/Bullet diameter will engage the rifling on the the barrel you use ! great shooting btw, you guys are awesome
thanks, but don't look at the size here at all, it was a special barrel with different dimensions than the standard .22 The common dimensions of our slugs are on our slugs website. www.militaryairgun.com/60-slugs
for this distance it is possible to use our standard production M24 in .25 caliber and our ATP King (or Queen) slugs. The parameters of the rifle and the ammunition will be practically the same, as with this record at 1400 yard ( BC and MV )
@@botbot1759 Thank you for your order. Yes, you can't use 66gr in a normal .22 airgun barrel, but for shooting at these distances, on caliber is generally doesn't matter, but only the bullet's speed and ballistic coefficient. So the 66gr .25 has practically the same properties as the bullet used at 1400 yards. After back validation, these slugs used on 1400 yards recosds had a BC G7 of around 0.135 -0.14.
You can't see the installation of the regulator, does it just slide in ,and you screw the block assembly up to it , and the base of the regulator seals to it ??? The camera shot doesn't show any of this
The regulator is inserted into the airtube with the narrower side facing forward, so that it is inserted halfway into the thread. Then the airtube is screwed onto the rifle, leaving a small gap (0.1-0.3 mm) In the past, RU-vid had the option of written comments in the video, but then canceled it, so some information is missing here. Here you will find written instructions www.altaros.cz/domu/130-1585-evanix-raistorm-sl-shb-regulator.html#/25-caliber-177_45mm/40-required_energy_with_regulator-75j_55_ft_lbs
195 bar rifle regulator (210 on external regulator) with 755 mm long barrel. Small recoil is also caused by a relatively heavy aluminum stock and also a large heavy optic + a large rear bag from the manufacturer SEB
@@rodjava The basic version of the regulator with which the rifle is delivered has a limited limit according to the instructions to 180bar, while unofficially you can go to a range of around 200bar, but here the regulator can gradually settle down a bit. We are currently selling a version of rifles with a maximum output pressure of up to 250 bar, while this output pressure is not always an advantage.
