This channel is dedicated to old Chinese masters of martial arts. I also upload some rare footages. Especially about Xing Yi Quan, Tai Ji Quan, Bagua Zhang and others Shaolin wushu. There will be also official channel for videos of the Beijing Xing Yi Quan research Association, which I am member. I am disciple of master Du Fukun and wushu enthusiast who practice many years for fun. I have been living in China more than 20 years. I belong to small "family" group of Xing Yi Quan practitioners of the great grandmasters Wang Jiwu and Iron Luohan Zhang Xiangzhai (Zhang Changfa) lineage. It also commemorate 10th gen.Chen style Taijiquan of disciples of Chen Fake, Bagua Zhang from disciples of Li Ziming and Gao Ziying and Shaolin Temple by master Shi De Yuan and other "De"(31the generation) of Shaolin monks(Shi De Yu, Shi De Shui, buddhist nun Shi Hui Long etc...) This page is not commercial, I don't do it for business. With love to the traditional Wushu. Enjoy and Buddha bless you. 阿弥陀佛。
A lot of stuff in comments about this not be sparring but it has to do with different usage of terminology. Yes it looks like a drill. Being in the west we think of sparring as a light free fighting with an opponent. In Chinese martial arts there are levels though. I learned single line sparring, two direction sparring, 4 direction, and then 8 direction sparring with an opponent. We are very quick to judge what sparring is based on our definition of it. I would also practice sparring legs vs hands only. Offense vs defense, or hands tied. This all led to full force fighting with no padding when learning Shaolin. Different levels of training and control to force refinement in specific skills.
Thank you for sharing, I've never seen shun bu heng before so this is a treat. Would you mind telling me what the song is in the video when you have a moment? Please and thanks. 谢谢分享这个视频,这是我第一次看见过顺步横,有意思!请问,能不能告诉我这首歌曲是什么名字吗?我听腻了黄飞鸿的主题曲
@@clacicle I admit, my CMA experience is much more limited than with Japanese & Korean styles, where terms like “one-step sparring” are often used. Despite the labeling, this seems more fluid & sparring-like than those drills usually are.
Hello and thank you for posting this video! I learn after a disciple of Chen Yu and from time to time I like to look for videos of students of Chen Fake or even of his son Chen Zhaokui, to look for similarities and differences. That's when I happened to come across this video, which I find really interesting. Thanks very much for sharing! I would be happy to see even more.
Hi, you are very welcome! I know Chen Yu from Beijing and I am going to meet him again. About uncle Chen Zhaokui, as my master told me, Chen Zhaokui died young and they were all present there in hospital along his bed, Feng Zhiqiang uncle held his hand when he passed away. Very sad he passed away so young. And about generation of direct disciples of Chen Fa Ke, there is no one living yet. The last one, master Tian Jianhua was last and he died 27.June.2021 in age 97. 🙏
@@xingbaoshi6341 Thank you for sharing this story. I did not know that Feng Zhiqiang was so close to him at his death. I recently saw a picture of Chen Yu and thought of how young his father died. I hope Chen Yu is in good health. It is very sad that Chen Zhaokui died so young. It is also a pity that just like Chen Fake, there is almost no videography of him for future generations. So it is even more important that there are disciples who seriously practice their Taiji and pass it on! I think you are very lucky to have found a master like Tian Jianhua who has adopted you into this great Gong Fu family.
@@leow78 thank you for nice words! Yes, they were all very closed like real family. It was tradition in those times. And yes, I also think so, that Chen Fa Ke leaved only pictures, no video. And it is nice that Chen Fa Ke family has descendant. Actually,I begun to practice Chen style under other Chen Fa Ke disciple Li Zhong Yin (one of my Xing Yi Quan GM) , who also spend time to teach young Chen Xiaowang in Beijing and Chen Jiagou. He was also secretary of Chen Fa Ke’s Beijing Chen Style Association. Before he passed away (in 2000) he introduced me his younger brother master Tian to continue study. It was really good times!

I love how much younger people keep coming up to talk to him and how he appears happy to respond and interact. No mysterious silence as if he’s doing something that must not be interrupted. Inspiring, too, that he was 95 here. Thanks for sharing.
@@xingbaoshi6341 Have you ever used a drill? The action of drilling requires the fist to rotate as it moves forward if you are just thrusting the fist forward you are not drilling and missing the point of this fist in addition this fist is related to the kidney if you did not feel a connection to the kidney area you have not fully understood the practice of this fist
@@xingbaoshi6341 I don't know how to post videos on youtube but I do know how to do xingyi. the drilling fist must be spiraling as it moves forward not simply thrust forward like a punch. The trajectory is straight but the forearm rotates hence drilling . I will try to find a video for you.
Hi, thanks for posting these videos. Hopefully you'll post more videos of Tian Jian Hua and his disciples. What are the differences between his Taiji and Chen Yu's Taiji? Is there any significant difference? Also, do you know of anyone of his lineage that teaches online or talks or writes about his Taiji at length?
Hi, I know Chen Yu from Beijing. He is son of Chen Zhaokui, who died young. There is no difference it is the same Chen Fa Ke style, Chen Yu except the one generation. Tian Jianhua was Chen Yu's uncle. Master Tian has only two foreign disciples, me and Helena. I was introduced to master Tian by his elder brother Li Zhongyun (李忠荫) since he had heart disease and was noty able to teach me anymore. (He died in 2000 year).I think unfortunatelly there is no any his disciple who teach online. Maybe younger brother Wang Daoquan still accepts disciples. baike.baidu.com/item/%E7%8E%8B%E9%81%93%E8%8D%83/5707648?fr=aladdin
Although master Tian was very famous inside the wushu circles (as indoor disciple of Chen Fa Ke and also legendary monk Shi Qi Yun) and had many good students, he was not famous outside. He was very humble man and he never do any commercial or advertisment, nor talk to media. He only strictly taught his disciples in all details in his small place in Tiantan park and devoted all life to pass the pure and authentic Taijiquan to the next generation. His videos was spread by his disciples just before few years. He was also honorary advisor to Beijing Chen style association until he passed away. His only effort was the original Chen style doesn't get lost.
@@xingbaoshi6341 From what you've said, I can tell he was a very respectable man. Yes please post more videos of him when you can, I'll be waiting for it. Please post more recent videos of Helena too, I'm curious to see the progress she has made after all these years. Thank you in advance.
Yes, my kung.fu sister is amazing taiji practitioner. All her movements draw the "taiji" as master taught us. She got the long time education from the real indoor disciple of grandmaster Chen Fa Ke. This footage is maybe 20 years old, when she was little student of medicine. I am encouraged to post her newer footage. I am going to search my archive. Stay on touch please!! :-)
Chen Fake 陈发科 is name of grandmaster, from whom ALL contemporary Chen style practitioners of big frame (everybody except Zhaobao small frame) count their lineages. 😂. It is only coincidence that his name is spell through Chinese Pinyin like English “fake”. Pronoucation is “fakhe”, The meaning is something like “spread the knowledge”
Hi, it was only moment in time, Grandpapa passed away in 2016 year. If you think the JIu Tao Huan, it is explained in A-B form in this book, page 315. ulozto.cz/file/fBArdILIdzRl/xing-yi-quan-shu-da-quan-wu-dian-ke-zhe-pdf#!ZJAzMwR2ZwSuMGyyBQuxAmMuAwEyAzkFrzEQDzEaK0g1ZzSzZN==
@@xingbaoshi6341 Thank you for your response. I have my Master Zhou YongFu's book, who also died in 2016, with all the forms and the Dui Lian, I have all the videos except the Ju Tao Huan, if you can make me a video copy, performed slowly, if you tell me the price, I will pay you with Paypal. If it is possible, otherwise, thank you in any case.
@@kabbalatisrael703 Dear brother, I don’t need any money for wushu, as I never paid any money for learning to my master🙏If you give me some contact, for example Telegram, Wechat, Signal etc, (telegram is best for sharing longer videos), I send you our branch indoor video for free🌞. This video is just beautiful - so short and still gives you the full Xing Yi flavor, showing the Xing Yi spirit: Forward, forward, applying pressure from San Ti position, running over the enemy"like running through high grass".Just love it, thank you for uploading!
@@aidenfisher5679 This is not fight even not real fight, , who donesn't understand it should better to stay silent here. This channel is for few really orthodox practitioner, not for PC keyboard MMA fighters. Better for you to go to some other channel like "real brutal fight" bro.
Hello brother, yes, it was passed to Wang Jiwu and his brother Peng Tingjun by Dai Kui. They spent some time with him to learn deeper Nei Gong. So there are remaining some traces from old style in our branch.
Actually, uncle Per, this younger brother practices not so orthodox and correct😅. I put it here only to show all branches of Wang Jiwu lineage😅. This back bow is passed from old Dai style😁
@@xingbaoshi6341 Ok good to hear this. In my mind the release of the back bow should be more like releasing an arrow from the bow i.e. power is instant and "uniform" instead of like a moving wave that we see here.
I've only just found this channel. Ever since I bought the book "Xing Yi Nei Gong" 20 years ago, and practicing the 16 health exercise set daily, I've been looking for more information on the Wang Ji Wu lineage and its practices. I only had access to a teacher who was a Hebei stylist at the time but tweaked my own practice because I found the 50/50 weight distribution more to my liking. This is pure gold. Thank you for uploading these videos. You've made me very happy.
@@xingbaoshi6341 Thank you. I'm fascinated by the longevity of these masters. The Wang Ji Wu lineage in particular seems to have men who are/were practicing well into their 80s and 90s. This is the reason I started the internal arts. I want to grow old gracefully and in reasonable good health well into my twilight years. Do you think it is this particular system which accounts for the long, healthy lifespans, or is it a combination of things such as diet, mental health and good clean fresh air ?
@@MarkErrington Actually, Xing Yi Quan/Xin Yi Quan, as the internal Shaolin art, is primary art of survive, as the Shaolin temple philosophy, it contain 禅武医, Buddhist internal meditation(=mental health), martial art and healing(including proper food) together. How it works proves the approximately age of practitioners. Only in our branch, Wang Jiwu Great grand papa passed away in age of 101 and grandpa Zhang Baoyang passed away in 95, without any disease. Many practittiners of Xing Yi passed away very old. It is really very good method for health.
@@xingbaoshi6341 Thank you. Buddhist internal meditation would be Ch'an ? There seems to be a lot of crossover in the Xingyi/Xinyi arts in regards to spiritual cultivation. Buddhist/Daoist/Confucian (Ru) and Islamic meditation.
@@MarkErrington yes, Chan, zen buddhism, but in 1500 old history pf Shaolin, there was too much mixing with Taoism, Konfucianism (and of course in Maxueli lineage with Islam). Xing Yi Quan is ancestor of orthodox internal school of Shaolin, Xin Yi Ba, Chang Hu Xin Yi Quan etc. Ji Longfeng lived 10years in Shaolin temple and learned it. But there was also some influence of Taoist Qi gong later, So it is great combination of these health exercises now. 😎
Sorry to bother you. I have a questions, do you teach Chen-Taijiquan? and Where do you live now? I am still Student, but maybe in the Future, want to travel sometimes to learn Xingyi and Taiji.
