Great tutorial. I've had an Axe FX II XL for 10 years but I've only used it about 10 times to date. Your video encouraged me to try this tutorial. Thank you
I’ve had an Oliver Mahogany for a little over two weeks. I know I’m setting myself up for some derogatory comments but I like playing the Orangewood better than my Taylor GS Mini. It’s not the tonality. The Taylor sounded like a smaller guitar compared to the Oliver. But the playability of the Oliver was perfect out of the box. I had to have the Taylor set up by a luthier and I still found it difficult to play in the higher registers.
My favorite thing about this (other than how awesome it is) is how much it brings out the noodly parts that get lost in the orchestral version. Now I can't unhear them when I hear that version.
When this album came out, I did listen to it non stop all day for 3 months straight, nothing else, just Scenes! And once I pressed "Play" it was destined to follow 77 minutes of music, there was no stop or pause... I was beyond obsessed, still it had so many details that after hundreds of continuous listenings I would discover new details every time. Desert island album, pandemic survival album, this masterpiece ticks all boxes!
My mate in highschool bought SFAM & I&W and didn't like them and gave them to me, I listened to I&W on the drive home and my mind was blown, such perfection and almost overwhelming, SFAM was a but harder to ingest being so new to the genre, but it is so many ways is better and for more emotional and varied. SFAM and SDIOT are both absolute peak DT. I really hope DT's reuniting with Mike Portnoy is that same creative catalyst that Jordan Rudess brought with him when he joined and they produce material on par with SFAM. High expectations from the same guys that are capable of it. it just occurred to me, this album is DT's 2112 in a lot of ways.
What is it with Fractal people and lousy taste in music? The best amp simulator in the world has representatives who think the most cheesy mainstream riffs constitute the best riffs ever. It’s like 90 % of all rock genres don’t exist for these people. No indie rock, no garage rock, no post-punk, no dream pop, no shoegaze, no avant-rock, no krautrock, almost no progressive rock, almost no punk rock, no art rock, no post-hardcore, no glam rock, no power pop, no gothic rock, no psychedelic rock, no black metal, no acid rock, no folk rock etc. I could go on. Literally only the most generic mainstream rock and classic rock.
@@uncccut23 perhaps your issue is less with the "Fractal people" but instead with the realities of appealing to an audience governed by an algorithm, in a world where view count and eyes-on are the only real currency left. I snuck in a few of my lesser-known favorites here and there, but you must understand that avoiding the "mainstream" entirely will only see your video buried. I would, though, love to hear some of what you would have included, and see where we overlap.
Also, I do think it's somewhat laughable you claim there's no progressive rock in here, since I worried I'd put in TOO much Yes, Rush, Floyd, and Dream Theater.

The original and the match are clearly different. Original has more beef, less top end. Match is thinner with little low end and lots of high end. Sorry but, that is a fail for me.
Just came across this as I just got an FM3 and was doing some searching around... incredible touch.. really nice job got a preset for this for the FM3?
