Using the FM3 has been a challenging task for me. The reasons are irrelevant here; let's say I feel like I made a mistake buying it. That being said, listening to this demo of these settings inspires me and makes me want to try and keep working with the FM3. I don't have a fantastic setup for recording, much less decent speakers, and I know these won't sound nearly the same on my busted AVT150, but they sound better than anything else I've found or been able to make myself.
I've found the FM3 to be a very "honest" piece of kit - it really does reflect what you plug into it, and what you plug it into. A mate was playing a Vai preset with a MM Majesty .. he said that it didn't sound that good. I said try it with an Ibanez Jem, and totally different! Budget permitting, try using as good a quality headphones as you can, and decent-ish monitors where possible. It will make all the difference
@@Dooogz I have a good set of headphones. I still don't want to get too deep into it, but my issue is hauling it around. Something has changed in me over the last couple of years. Where I used to pic up and carry upwards to 100lb without much strain, now I can't walk up a set of steps without my heart racing. It's a great unit and I like what I hear. But physically it's a lot on me for some reason. If I was told I couldn't play without bring my AVT150, then I wouldn't play. And yes it sounds crazy, but the FM3, the volume pedal and case, along with my Gretsch, weigh a lot for me. 😥
Hi, you have couple of Majesties, do they intonate perfectly up to 24th fret and after playing these crazy whammy bar solos do your Majesties stay in tune? My brand new LE Majesty does not intonate perfectly and gets out of tune slightly after couple of bendings and tremolo usage. Which strings do you use?
