@@TheTableTennisServiceGuy as Manika Batra! I play long pips too! In our Channel you can Watch some reviews of this kind of rubbers! 😉 Cheers coach!! 💪🏻
With good mental and tactical advice, those kinds of comebacks happened! This is what I love about ping. Thank you for the video! Mari has a great forehand top spin which she can make really spinny which is not often the case with long pips players. I found she won many points turning around it but lost too many in the first two games doing it not fast enough lacking space.
@@TheTableTennisServiceGuy Indeed. It was fun being in the "coaches corner" with you and seeing that side of you. You did a great job being supportive and affirming while still providing advice. Mari is the real star of course, but you played your part well!
craig I absolutely ****ing love this content. I'm a pips player myself (though more of a chopper) so I feel Mari's pain with the missed pips points etc but she's great to watch, so refreshing and interesting, especially in the young women's game loved your coaching, loved her mental attitude, love the formatting of the video etc. A++++++++ would view again
That’s cool, thanks Duncan. Glad you enjoyed it, I enjoyed putting it together. Completely agree with you on her mental side. She’s solid, 2-0 down and a number of match points down, still believed she could win.
I've built a racket with cheap Chinese rubbers and blade, and I've been using it for a year. Is there a point to buy better racket, if I play only outside on a concrete table or would It be complete a waste of money?
I was hoping to see incredible intels on the opponents’ weakness or a complete strategy change instead of just “be more consistent and change a little but here and there”. That’s kinda automatic during play or at least on every player’s mind.
I understand what you're saying. In this situation, being steady and consistent was good advice. The Swedish player lacked power on the backhand side, so maintaining consistency was sufficient. Sometimes, consistency is key to winning, especially against weaker opponents. However, when facing stronger players, taking more risks and potentially being less consistent might be necessary to compete effectively. It just depends on the situation.
Cracking insight and thanks for sharing Craig... although when it comes to orthadox rubbers vs long pips, i'm always rooting for the side of the orthadox rubbers.... perhaps because it's hard work against very good exponents like Mari ... btw i agree with the comment on the serve ...it's definately illegal.
😂😂😂 I know right! It makes it loader, easier to be heard. It’s just a table tennis clap. I would definitely look insane if I used this in every day life!
Love this new type of video. Question though, in between the points where you tell Mari to maybe serve a certain way or put the ball a certain place, is that allowed or does it have to be blatantly obvious coaching?
