I got a ‘21 with a pro cycle jet kit and standard air box no mods to the box I run it on AVGAS cause I get it for free got a Dominator muffler. Never misses a beat plenty of throttle response with the jet kit. Ride it on sand, dirt, bitumen, mud long days in the sun rain you name it never misses a beat keeps with all the euro trash and cost a fraction of the price to buy and maintain. I run stock bouncy suspension cause I like it I weigh 85 kilos I don’t need the fancy shit of new bikes my riding style is above average. DR650 is a blast.
I just picked up same bike same year starts but is hard to start up compression is released and did run the day I gotten it yesterday I pull started it and she fired up but was flooding with gas but ran like a rape ape then at idling to let her warm up it's radiator over flow spewed out coolant is that timing or bad sighn lmk
Thats beyond a adventure . I would had done well till that cliff side . Not sure if I could had done that . Im relieved your co-rider and his bike didn't go into a tumble . Well men memories you guys created . Awesome I watched this twice .
So you need a transporter , steering stabiliser & auto clutch on the 300 🤷. I used to be a 2stroke guy too , got a stock 350excf now , ride it out my yard on the tar to the trails, wicked bike love it. Ps best bikes I've owned are 500 2strokes 💪 but you need a transporter for them too unless you don't mind being chased by the cops 🤣
Hello there , I have an opportunity to buy this motorcycle from a guy who says he's your good friend , I don't want to say his name here but his listing says it has 3000 miles , does that sound right to you ??? Or do you remember how many miles we're on it when you put the trail tech vapor on it by any chance or what the actual mileage on the machine was when you sold it ? I haven't gone to look at it yet but it seems like a great bike and if I buy it I plan to ride it to Idaho next year...
The vstrom just looks right, they do an RE which is probably a better road bike but doesn't look as good. After 20yrs away from motorcycles is this an easy bike you could get on with, I've never ridden off road but would the little Suzuki just give you confidence?
Okay, now I know which bike to get next. I just did my first enduro up here in Michigan on my 2017 KTM 500 EXC-F. I love the bike thoroughly, except in the super-tight or just regular tight woods sections. I posted that I was going to replace the 500 with a 350. Many suggested even the 350 is too big and to look to a 250 ECX-F, but even stronger recommendations for a 250 or 300 XC-W TPI (2021 or newer). Your review here was very reasoned and informative to help me decide. Now I am fully committed to finding a good, used 2021 or newer 300 XC-W. Thanks to you! 👍🏻
That must of been a fantastic trip. Scenery is fantastic ,roads sure do look dangerous . Really enjoyed this video, and you convinced me that the bike is very durable !! I am going to get one of these.
Getting ready to trade a 2023 zx6r in to get one. I want it modded much like that one. I own a 2014 drz400sm with 45,000 miles on it. I love the ride. I got the zx6r to run the highway to work a 45 min. commute.
@@hitmax087 doesnt make even 1 more hp and the throttle spring is heavy. Also the one i got off procycle leaked like crazy past the poorly machine adapter rings.
Did you actually measure the sag on that bike? KTM state that it should be 25/80mm (static/rider) with a 75-85kg rider. There is no way you can get that sag with the OE spring.
Looking at some of these comments makes me laugh. Yamaha build this bike to a price for a reason, that being it is perfectly suited to 90% of the buyers. If you want to ride it your way then modify it your way and be happy. How much you spend on it is up to you. This is an awesome video on what you can really do with this bike if you really wish to so thanks for making it. Love it. 🙌🏾
Thank you. We have the ability to see what the bike is capable of, so why not. We certainly are not telling anyone they have to do the same thing. One of the greatest attributes of the T7 is how affordable and capable it is stock but that it is also a platform that can be made into some much more.
It just depends on what your needs and preferences are. There is zero debate that there are as many options for offroad centric riders in 17" as there are 18". For street bias tire options... sure, there are quite a few options.
They never came to market. Ohlins made 8 sets that were for their forks specifically and they decided not to put them into production. Just too expensive.
