We were able to meet up with Rodney Smith from BETA USA and get our hands on the BETA 250 RR Race Edition 2 Stroke offroad machine for a few days. We put Adam Booth in front of the camera to go over our initial impressions of this bike and go over some of the specifics.

When is the comparison to the 200 coming out?

Great review - thanks. How does the 250 compare to the rr 200? I’ve been considering the 200 but not sure if its worth losing the bottom end luggability for a bit more flickability in the singletrack. Im a light rider but live in the hills.

We did a video on the 200 as well but not a comparison video. The 250 is MORE plain and simple. The 250 maintains the flickability of the 200 but has more grunt. The 300 on the other hand has even more grunt but starts to feel heavy and not as flickable. More tractor like.

Have you a ridden a 250rr? I'm in the market and can't decide between 200, 250, 300. I would definitely do Race edition regardless.

It's really hard to get bikes from most manufacturers right now.... rrrr for the past few years really. In the good old days, most OEMs had plenty of bikes on hand and we could usually get what we needed to really dig in. There have been zero extra bikes around for quite a while now. Hopefully we can get back to a more normal state.

Hows the bottom end torque compared with the 300 ?

The 300 hundred certainly has more torque and it rolls on in a more linear way.

Idaho is a beautiful place should be a national park you know what I mean but I want to be able to ride dirt bikes and use the land

Idaho has the second largest wilderness designation by acreage in the country and so much of the state is otherwise public land. Plus 75% of our improved roads are dirt. That doesn't even count all the logging, mining and fire roads out there. We are very fortunate.
