stick drift is not caused by the POTs hall effects will not eliminate drift PS1 controllers used POTs rarely got drift PS2 controllers used POTs rarely got drift PS3 controllers used Hall Effects rarely got drift PS4 controllers use POTs guaranteed to get stick drift PS5 controllers use POTs guaranteed to get stick drift so Sony has 4 controllers that use POTS yet two rarely get drift and two always get drift then thy have one hall effect controller that has the same chances of getting drift as the PS1 and PS2 controllers that use POTs so what is going on well in-between the PS3 and PS4 thy changed the centering springs of the thumb sticks to be lighter springs and these lighter springs ware out faster leading to them not centering the sticks thus leading to drift so if the Hall Effects have the same light spring thy will get drift also 8BitDO is having this problem right now thy swapped form POTs to Hall Effects but use the same centering springs and so thy get drift just like the POTs thy previously used

If youre using the gulikit tmr i suggest looking at them under magnification and good lighting. They are very peone to rusting.

I just picked this controller up. Pretty good deal with the coupon. Does anyone know how to update firmware? I downloaded program and hooked troller up to pc but "update" button is grayed out. It states it needs to be in a certain mode for update. Anyone know if I have to press a button to get it to initialize firmware?

The joystick computer graphic was excellent.

Do the clicky triggers destroy its other functionality ?

All these people complaining. This is a tutorial for a hardware mod. There is no product that allows you to just pop in back buttons with no soldering. Also to help those bumps on the bottom of the controller be careful to not put in the screws too tight, they will portrude through the back.

Are the joysticks supposed to be pulled after L3 and R3 press? I found that very peculiar.

Sony not using hall effect sticks when much cheaper options are using them is proof they want stick drift to be a thing so you have to buy new ones.Unless youre into fixing them yourselves which mosz people arent.Sony is anti consumer.
