I actually enjoy how the 28mm lens actually keeps a lot of the shot in focus. As in similar to deep focus settings as if f/16 or something. I have plenty of lenses for depth of field but I miss having shots showing everything without resorting to using a camcorder with a smaller sensor. its crazy! 3:20
This is one of the coolest things I have ever seen! I wish i had a Blackmagic just so i had a reason to get this. Honestly its extremely tempting to find a reason to get one now
the only good thing about this drone is only the durability.. i bought the fly more mode..not even can fly so far (because only level 4 wind resistence and where i live is windy city) i bought fly mode only for the battery pack..but in the end im not use a lot of time because of the video quality i also doing youtube as a vlogger but the video quality is not only bad but its really really bad!!! in the end i use my potensic atom more than this drone (yes potensic atom also have follow me mode) i know the follow me mode on atom is rubish compare to dji neo but still video quality and battery life is the factor.. but as i said before the durability of dji neo is one of the BEAST (best) in the market.. i "accidently" hit my neo to the tree/stone for 6-7 times already..i even bring my NEO when i doing watersport and yes it was falling to water few times..but until now the drone still working fine!!! i know i should not compare neo with atom..but it is what it is right :)
This is very similar to a lens/adapter combo I use on my Sony a6300. Beastgrip’s 37mm iPhone anamorphic lens adapts to the Sony 16mm f/2.8, just needs a light 1.2x crop applied to remove any vignetting, and with clear image zoom I do the crop in camera and the footage looks great when I bring it into the edit. Worth noting this only works cause of the apsc sensor, would require a much bigger crop in on a full frame
@@Brocknoviatch thank you. I totally hear you. I honestly hated that they crowdfunded this. A lot of big trustworthy brands are doing this but I do not like Indiegogo one bit. I took this lens & another product that were crowdfunded but I think I will refuse to review them in future. Indiegogo get away with too much shady business and don't vet these pop-up companies properly. Sorry to rant but I truly despise them.
Fellow brit here, got to say this is an absolutely crackin' idea, anamorphic looks to be about £19 on your link. Even including the viltrox lens in your costing this is such a good value way to experiment with anamorphic!
@@bloomylicious Hello mate, nice to meet another Brit on RU-vid. I love the Americans & Canadian's etc but Brits are best 😅 Yeah I'm sure you could probably find it even cheaper as it's a generic adapter. They tend to jump in price when brands put their name on it. But yes, it's a great way to experiment and providing you don't expect miracles it's actually quite useable for low/no budget productions.
If it wasn't for the fact that the front element rotates when manually focussing, this could work really well on the Pentax 110-format 24mm f2.8 Very small front lens element, and could be a solution for M43. If you're not focussing during a take, no reason why it wouldn't work?
@@Whaever_1981 thank you. On full frame (full width) you get the equivalent of about 18mm horizontal. The samples in this video are full width but normally you'd crop in a bit more on the sides and less black bars on top....user preference.
Well, I didn't buy the neo exactly for the image quality... haven't seen a review with good enough footage to convince me. I would love to see a dji mini 5 pro with buttons on top to make those quick shots and be controlled with the phone only, even if it's just up to 50 meters. That would be something and since it would be a "pro" model, we could just have the video settings as we wanted for those quick shots without using phone nor remote controller. That would be a drone worth buying or upgrading to... Still want to upgrade my mini 2 to a 5 pro when released but this features would be awsome on it.
@@JogosDeTabuleiro that would be awesome, even with a bumper cage. I do understand why these quick shots have to be small though. This one just needed better video quality
I just saw these existed the other day AFTER I bought some ProGrade cards, but I think I'm going to buy 2 of these. I bought 240GB ProGrade ones, but I'm really eyeing the 512GB Pergear cards.
@@acidtears thank you. At the moment you don't really have much choice in adapters, especially at 1.5x SLR magic & sirui are a max of 1.33 or less. The blazer Nero is 1.5 but you may not like that either. Your only option really is to empty your bank account on a on an anamorphic set of lenses. You could try Anamorphic on a Budget channel. Tito tests them all.
@@Altcine Figured i'd have to empty my pockets again.. eyeing a 17mm that costs a gentle 14k ex. tax 🙈 i'll check out the other adapters! and the channel :) thanks for the recommend!
To be honest, I'd need to see a different example for edge sharpness using anamorphic lens than a 2020+ Star Wars production. I don't trust the money hungry folks at Disney to give enough shits to bother with clean anamorphic (I'm imagining the board coming to the decision "...and make it wide!!1!!").
@@acidtears it's not just this example, I saw the same thing in the new Netflix series Monsters, you see it in the Batman....there's tons of examples in movies. Not in every frame but I see it in loads of films and series and I'm surprised you don't spot it.
You are not the only one slamming the NEO. Seems like a lot of people are waking up to it being substandard. And also, good points about the controller and goggle additions. Yeah, better off with one of the Mini packages if you want to go down that route. Cool video!
@@thewelsho I'm glad to see others talking about it properly. It's definitely a case of you "you get what you pay for" but with DJI they usually have good quality regardless of price. It's a shame they started off so poorly with a product that had lots of potential. Thanks for the comment.
@@snappy8k the key is to have the adapter as close to the lens optics as possible and the optics very small, this is why this lens works great and most similar built pancake lenes will be the same. Just need very small optics at around 7mm ish
An excellent video with end to end inspiration for everyone out there who wants to shoot beautiful video. Definitely going to try it out. Thank you so much.
I have a rear anamorphic adapter for mft, I put it on sony e through the adapter, the crop covers 1.6, so you need to cut off about 5% on Sony and it is completely clean throughout the field... I do not know how the master made it to order, he went out of business because there are too few orders... All I know is that he ordered the glasses in China...
