Follow standard- after these 2 pedals- now reverb- delay- modulation- then go with compression- noise gates- etc… so basically- $700 you have a total Wampler pedal board…can’t really beat that
Ahhhh the lifelong search/hunt/yearning for the ever elusive noise eh? I harnessed it about 5 years ago and I'm a very very happy camper indeed, I admit it was like bagging fog or trying to pin jelly on a wall, -but it can actually be done! yes, it is indeed where science meets art as some already are well aware of, but the hunt was certainly worth it in my case.
So Sweet, the tonality is off the scale. I've been interested in adding a pedal that would provide me access such as this Laney. I'm going to get one. Tom, your playing is always soulful. I love it.❤
I'm curious what's your thinking when you have to play over a different chord from the same or different scale. For example when you have to play a 3rd from a 7th chord are you thinking: "where's my 7th in relation to the root, and then the 3rd in relation to the 7th OR the 2nd in relation to the root because it is a 3rd in relation to the 7th"? Or maybe you are thinking my 7th chord of a scale is D, so the 3rd in relation to a D, which now is the root? something different? It's a bit hard to explain because their could be a lot ways of mental processing at the same time🤷🏻♂️
great demo Tom as always! I wanted to power this from my pedal board power supply. I couldn't find any power supply that provides 24V 2.5A. How are you powering up the pedal? Are you using its own power supply?
This didn’t really tell me much about the pedal as it was mainly just about how fast can you play. The music most people listen to doesn’t sound like the Flight of the 10 Million Bumblebees. Just keep their simple so we can understand more clearly what we are buying.
Hi Tom, thanks for the demo, just bought one on the back of this video and the Andertons review. On another note, that chair is epic, can you let me know what it is please as my practice stool is on it's way out and this looks like it would be a very comfortable replacement. Cheers.
I have already seen this review but I am rewatching just to listen Tom Quayle playing. The next rewatching will be guitar hands on to steal some licks 😇 🎸 🔥
Tom thank you for sharing these great insights. I think the fascinating thing about your demo is that Fmaj to Bbmin could have also been perceived as a V - Im rather than I - IVm, but you are making it sound like the latter by your note choices. It is just amazing! In fact, I'm now curious about how you would have sounded like if you were thinking Bbmin is your home, and Fmaj as being the tense, dominant sound.
What amazes me about these portable recorders, is that they offer much more functionality than desktop or pc audio interfaces at the same price point. I don't necessarily have any plans to record outside but if I were to pay $400 for an audio interface, I'd rather have one that can do it all, rather than one that is specific for a computer/indoor setup. I currently have a motu m2 audio interface but I am researching these 32bit float portable recorders. I record mainly commentary and voice acting in my home but I would love to be able to do podcasts or outdoors recording later on. Does anyone know how well these portable recorders work for using on a windows pc for gaming commentary or podcasts?
