ps. It is perfectly normal to experience motion sickness when first learning to fly FPV using head tracking goggles, just like first learning to fly full scale planes. Even top aces felt it when they first learned to fly. Bear with it for a handful of flights and you won't feel it anymore. Break a leg pilots, on your FPV training adventure!
Have you ever tried a heads up display? I have a slope soaring fpv rig with vario/airspeed on the h.u.d. All ran through a Matek f405 f.c. you could also set audible stall speed alarms on your radio. I used the vario tone for sloping for awhile before it started driving me crazy😂
No. I have not used FC’s or OSD telemetry yet. I should, but find that simply using my reflex sight is sufficient for my flying. So much easier to setup🙂
I need to learn about this, because this is like a dream come true! Head tracking from within the plane!! Please dont be expensive, please dont be expensive.....
It is pricy for the latest and greatest. But if you use previous gen equipment, then it’s much more affordable. The ones shown in this video are already a couple generations old, but I still love it🙂
@@bibinsasi-ew1qf it’s a pretty complex problem. You can build a channel, a website and maybe a business out of it. See this guy who build a following from building a RC plane from scratch: www.rccad2vr.com
Great product works great with my RadioMaster. Was able to get it work very easy on TX16S. But i have tried for hours on NX8 and always get "No Student Signal". I am using the Spektrum port cable to 1/8. I have tried with and without a mono adapter and always the same. "No Student Signal".
The latest firmware on Spektrum NX8 renders the wired trainer port useless. Have to roll back to earlier versions of Spektrum firmware to make wired trainer connection usable. It’s a Spektrum BUG😉
@@motionsic I installed 3.12 still was not working. Then I tried different PPM Pin outputs, it finally worked perfectly on PPM output pin 10. Love the BAG and the Tally-Ho :) Now it works perfectly with both the RadioMaster TX16s and the Spectrum NX8. My first FPV flight, the videos will get better. I had everything installed by did not have the head tracking work yet. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-h8ycEaHmHgs.html Next videos will have full head tracking :)
@motionsic We get a lot of tourists driving by our flight field. Every time I am burning through a long session of packs on my F-22, It never fails to attract an audience.
Hello Mr. Motionsic FPV, my name is Derek and I am considering getting into RC flying and I have been watching your FPV videos on RU-vid. I am planning on coming to the upcoming "17th Annual Warbirds & Classic Scale Fly-In" at the OCMA Field on Saturday, June 29th and I am would like to know if you will be there. If so, I hope to meet you and tell you how much I enjoy your dogfight videos!
@@motionsic Great!, looking forward to it. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-h8ycEaHmHgs.html (video before I got the BAG and Headtracker. Next videos will be much better. Again thanks for bringing this to the hobby.
So the tilt and pan on the FPV is that controlled by a stick or does it do it by head tracking so wherever you look with the FPV headset it tracks where you are looking?
What an awesome build ! Your videos decided me to take the step and start the hobby xD I'll start little by little, but I want to do the same with the P40 from fms at the end... what sound system did you use ? how did you installed it, as there is little to no plca in this airframe ? And do you have a direct render of the sound on the fpv when you fly or was it editing ?
pretty amazing now we just need functioning gauges, smoke system from hit detector from ir/laser beam and various functions like throttle being reduced, controls slow etc.
