Wonderful to see 50s machines still running beautifully (i think 30s were made in the 50s because of a comment i saw somewhere) Gotta have that 50s rock n roll to go with those sweet babies, i know plenty of good songs from the era if you’re interested
Would love to bring my grandads old AMF Pro-Roll (early 70s ball that im restoring to use myself) to this place to bowl on AMF equipment since my local centers are brunswick alleys (one GSX other A2s)
@@Joethepro181 that's something I haven't come across👍I suppose you just have to keep an eye on gearbox wear and sparking on stator contacts when the stator starts👍👍👍 good work 😃
What a great Video!!!! I was in the machine tool business--mainly on the service side for 45 years. Dealt with mechanics and electronics. Not much electronics here (actually better) I have always been facinated by pin setters and how they work.
Never realized how similar an amf 8230 and brunswick gsx are with the way it sweeps, the pit carpet, and the old school way of scoring on those where its wired up at each spotting cup for scoring very simlar designs its pretty much a new school 8230
Overland ball returns and 82/30 pinsptters...brings back memories 😃I'm on A2 and have been for 20 years😃 they bring back memories of my first 15 years on AMF it was a lot fun....keep up the good work👍👍👍👍👍😃😃😃😃
@@chucknovak6245 Ugh, I have my own personal collection but man 12 lanes with barely anything to use for spare parts? I’ve been salvaging things together to make things work so they can get it going for now
Good to know, I got there and none of them ran at all when I first showed up. Only 5 chassis still worked. Currently I have 6 through 12 running again, the first 5 are next
Hey Joe. That looks like the Corpus Christi church lanes in Buffalo. I’ve bowled there before, back in 2013. That place is a time capsule 😊 I believe it was damaged by water in 2014. I remember talking to someone there about this. I hope it’s being saved. That place is awesome 🤩
Synthetic overlays where the best thing to happen to the industry😀I have 18 lanes of synthetic and I remember being involved in resurfacing timber lanes in the early 1990,s the dust and shit in the air...I wasn't a fan when they first come out but much easier to look after.keep up the good work.👍👍👍
A blast from the past 😀😀😀i started my career on these 82/30 pinspotters 35 years ago. Have spent many years on 82/70 and GS machines. I have been on Brunswick A2 for about 20 years now.😀😀😀😀keep up the good work and lets bury those string machines.
@@Joethepro181 string machines are destroying the industry. Proprietors of bowling centres are being lied to.There being told that they can get rid of tech's.... let's bury those bloody things😀😀😀
I was wondering when them Lanes were going to get Sanded No Disrespect but I never saw The Heads so Burnt up from not enough Oil in the front part of the Lane
