Hey Logan King, I love the Red Dog front bumper. I have been trying to find one in states and shipped to Denver with no luck. Definitely getting one of these now for an overlanding/road trip family car. I daily a Miata so I don’t care about gas mileage. Just want that space, reliability and off road capability for 7-10 grand.
A solution to your center console may be a swap to one from a LC Prado, they don't have the DVD drive and little armrests on the seats, they have the full size regular console with the big lid that serves as the armrest and it's basically the same truck so it should fit or almost fit...
Have you had any issues with tipping when one of the drawers is pulled all the way out? Could you put eye bolts and turnbuckles on the outside of the box towards the front to attach to the floor D ring tiedowns?
Ive been wating to get all my parts to put them in one time got the bilstein 8112 bilstein b8 upper rear 2in dobinson spring and air bag delete just ordered dobinson upper rear control arm just wating for next week order lower rear dobinson control arm and adjustable sway links and pand hard relocator then im going to strip everthing clean rust and repaint and put it all together one time
I tried the 470 but the leg room was too cramped for me, that is my only complain, I got a 570, getting 14.7 mpg but I can live with it. Both SUVs are super top of the line.
I got some Baja design lights and ARB solis and they all operate fine without issue when on and off while driving. But I've noticed that even though they are off they randomly get a surge of pwer and blink for a milisecond when I turn my ignition off. I spoke with both manufacturers and they said it's normal for auxiliary lights to do that. Have you guys noticed that with yours?
Had an FJ40, 2 FJ60 Landrruisers , 2 FJ Cruisers, and a right hand drive 80 series Landcruiser and now i picked up a GX470. I was looking for Tundra with the 4.7l motor but couldn't find anything decent. I found a GX470 so I took a chance and bought it. I Installed the Eibach lift but went with a smaller tire. The more I drive this truck, the more I like it. I haven't really challenged it like you have but that day will come. I'm in Alberta as well, so i might run into you out in the mud! CHEERS!
Just wondering how it's holding up and if you'd still make the jump from the rigd swing out to this. Im buying one this summer, just not sure which. Really enjoy your channel and your build out of your GX.

Totally agree with every pro and con! My kids have moved out so I removed my rear seats for more room. I like what you've done with the winch bumper and wheels, breaks up the white. I'm in the process of doing the same thing. Nice job on your GX!
