I never cared about slurs. To get hurt by them only gives those words power. I think the point about the feelings of people when words are used is valid in some sense but in no way can be meaningful outside of personal ties due to its arbitrary nature. Anything could make someone uncomfortable.
… Not sure what I expected divin’ into this, but crawled back out of the sophor slime spill guffawing like a clown gargling down miracle stardust with faygo. Lovin’ the slop output, mr. mc sir. >)X^D
Neat tidbit of info: Hussie has said there are more canonical blood colors/hemotypes (in fact, he said all colors are canon, much to his later regret lmao), so I would assuming that only specific hemotypes are shown in the comic because only they are important to the timeline being represented.
@FunkMcLovin It's been YEARS and it was on Tumblr (like he said this while actively making Act 4 if I remember right) so unfortunately it looks like the original source has been deleted. However, on the Tumblr blog "homestuck resources" they have the link to the post where he mentions his regret in making all colors canon. Links generally won't post to RU-vid, but I can quote what he said: "All of the troll race’s blood colors are accounted for by characters in the comic, except for one. The place on the spectrum where Karkat’s slot would be is a shade of green between Nepeta’s and Sollux’s. Lime bloods. We know nothing about them, and the only indication they exist in the story at all, aside from the indirect evidence I just mentioned, is that shade is on the walls of the highblood’s throne room. But that’s it. Any time there’s a fan troll with like pink sparkly blood or whatever, that is just some prime bullshit right there. Wait didn’t I make them all canon?? FUCK………….."
