What you're doing here is amazing and you're definitely on the right track, but I think the story is taking a little too long to get started. We don't need to see every second of Alicia's day, and by contrast we don't see enough of Noni to really have a reaction when he falls ill. I had an idea for how to restructure these opening scenes, but it would mean redoing quite a bit of the animatic.

Hol up- I was also taught by a Disney animator!! I'm still learning lol (aren't we all) but that's so cool! My teacher’s name is Chad Stewart, and he worked on Tarzan (Turk) the Emperor's New Groove (he legit animated the "pull the lever, Kronk" scene) and a whole bunch of other stuff. Idk why I felt the need to say this, but seeing you were also taught by a Disney animator just geeked me out 😅

This will be amazing, and I can’t wait to see it. I liked Wish, but just to laugh at how INSANELY bad it was. No one in charge cared about it being a good movie, like you said. Alicia And The Kingdom of Starlight will be much better, because almost nothing could be worse than Disney right now. Honestly, I’m just so disappointed in Disney right now, and not just because Wish. Also for the cancellation of TOH, Zombies reanimated(I don’t even know if the pun was intentional, but either way, I’ve seen nothing but bad opinions about the show) ,and I don’t even know what else they’ve screwed up yet. Just bring back movies like Treasure Planet, The Lion King, The Little Mermaid, and not just remakes or sequels no one asked for. I think children’s little games could make a better movie plot than Disney currently. It’s great that you’re actually putting in the work to put something great out into the world, and I hope you have fun doing it! I was thinking something like Magnifico stabbing Alicia and then everyone singing that song, and when you least expect it, both Alicia (even though she is in pain) and Star sing "So I make this wish" Yada yada. Then Magnifico loses control, Star is free, takes Magnifico's powers, and you know the rest. Alicia falls from the tower because she's fainted, and Star (his powers are still gone) throws himself off the tower, catches Alicia, and is covering her with his body. The crowd catches the two of them and lowers them, but Alicia is fading fast and it is not long before she dies in Star's arms. We get this sad scene and I think that Star should begin to sing the chorus of "At All Costs," but softly and sadly. He will then start to cry, and like how Rapunzel did with Flynn/Eugene, his tear will revive Alicia and that's as far as I got. It's dramatic, but hey, I need to make Magnifico evil. Let me know if I did good or not
You're taking the required time that goes into a good story and a good movie! This change of pace and focus does show that you care about how the film goes, rather than how Wish did it (which was more rushed), so I'm entirely fine with this change! Can't wait to watch more of this project grow into what Wish couldn't be for Disney's centenniel.
I know this is probably too late but I have one suggestion (btw I LOVE this version) I would change "You pull me in like some kind of dream Mesmerized by the scene of, You and me" to "You pull me in like the tide, with you- I don't feeling like a have to hide Mesmerized and I'm falling" The reason is because while I can see the correlation between a dream and being pulled in, I would never think of that when trying to describe being "pulled in like some kind of (thing that pulls)". Also the line "like some kind of" only really works if Starboy is searching for words I think, (like he really can't describe how it feels so he says "pull me in....like...some kind of dream!"). It feels like filler otherwise, cuz it still works with "You pull me in like a dream" see? Anyway that's my two cents Love everything you guys are doing with this, so beautiful❤✨

I mean, will there be a reason why he came down to earth because maybe it's just me, but coming down like that only at the request of a person you don't know very well is not a good reason. 🤔. I'm not suggesting anything, but I have several visions of why he came down to earth. one was that he had to prove that he was good (something that was in Wish dragon but I don't really like it) and I have another one where he was a runaway because he was forced to marry some princess/prince who wasn't a very good person and he was chased so in order to hide, he went down to earth and accidentally met Asha and "impersonated" a star that fulfilled wishes (x with this escape, I think maybe something like Aang) I also had an idea that Asha's wish was special because she was the first one not to wish for something for themselves only for someone so the stars decided to check if humanity has changed so they sent starboy to check it out. Anyway I'm just curious what you will come up with because this project is great, I can't wait when you're ready to show more. ❤
