I still follow you out on those dusty plains of Australia. I really like when you boil your Billy for a cup of tea. My uncle John Leonard left Ireland in 1950, he travelled all over Australia as a diamond driller. Sometimes when I see the vast plains you paint I wonder are his footprints near where you are. I live in Ireland and I have a small framing shop, I’m very interested in art and in particular how you go about your work. This brings me to another artist. His name is Christian Jacquel, a french man from Provence in the south of France. I watched him paint a seascape somewhere on the Mediterranean. His pallet is as interesting and as beautiful as his paintings. I saw him take some scabs of dry paint from his pallet and with the dry paint he created the shore and the land where it meets the sea. It was brilliant and the end result was magnificent. Thought you might like my thoughts. Good luck for the future. John Leonard

Dear Richard, I don't speak English, I understood that the colors used on this painting are cobalt blue, yellow ochre, alizarin crimson, titanium white but I couldn't understand the last color which must be a red but I don't know which one...
Hello. Another magnificent painting. How do you prepare your canvases? The one in this video creaks under the strokes of the spatula as if it were sanded!! I know that you usually use coarse-grained canvases, certainly for the adhesion of the paint but this time it seems very "creaky" to me.
