I remember where I was when I first heard CFH. I was blown away and i immediately knew this was something very different. Hearing the first song, CFH, very unique. Then I heard Cemetery Gates and I was blown away with Phil's vocals, with Dime's playing. It was something I'd never heard before. They have been, to this day, my favorite band. Each member was perfect! They invented a whole new genre! That's very impressive. Dime was so animated on stage and off! Phil was such a great front man. Unlike many other bands, Pantera never sold out. They just got harder. Dimebag is my favorite guitarist. I play guitar too. Learning Pantera song's were difficult for me. I'm no where near his level. I keep practicing though. They are the best metal band ever. I listen to them, everyday. My Parrot loves Pantera too and she sings along with their song's. Long live Pantera!!! This is a very comprehensive explanation of Pantera. Thank you for doing this video. It's actually one of the best I've ever heard!!! ❤️
I would encourage anyone to do their own voiceover, as an AI one sounds both fake and lazy. Also, within the first minute, you missed basic facts that Ramones fans might know off the top of their head, such as that the bar in question with the 45 singles was owned by John's parents. Get better at this.
17:30 -- The narrator says that around the time of the recording of their second album "Johnny would write the songs alone in his apartment" and bring tapes to band practice for the rest of the guys to learn the songs. It's well documented that Dee Dee was the primary songwriter, with Joey contributing many of his own songs as well. The first 3 albums didn't list individual songwriting credits, so that's a little murky. Apparently there was a more collaborative environment while Tommy was in the band. With "Road to Ruin" we can begin to see who was responsible for the bulk of the songwriting duties. For my money, after Dee Dee left the band, the best Ramones songs of their post-Dee Dee era were still songs written by Dee Dee ("Poison Heart," "It's Not For Me To Know," "Makin' Monsters For My Friends," "Main Man," "Born To Die In Berlin," etc.). I love Johnny's guitar style but this is kind of a strange Johnny-centric documentary. By the way, those solo Dee Dee Ramone albums he made after he left the band ("Zonked," "I Hate Freaks Like You," and "Jump Around") are fantastic! If you're a Ramones fan and you haven't heard them, check them out A.S.A.P
I like Tony McCarroll a lot, and he is definitely part of the soul of the band in that he is a Manchester lad from the same neighbourhood as the other guys etc, but Alan White was simply a better drummer. I've listened to both and you don't have to be an expert at all to see that Alan White was on another level. In fact Alan White was arguably the best instrumentalist ever to play in Oasis.
Age is relative , I have worked with and know people in their 40s who don’t have his energy and actually look older, it’s about looking after yourself and moderation. Saw him in Dublin and he was great, have a ticket for Madrid 17th June so hoping it works.
Is this guy still lying 😂 I had the unfortunate experience of befriending him and I made it clear I wasn’t interested him romantically! I was in hospital for a few weeks and he turned on him and called me every name under the sun ! Threatened me and my kids .. so I contacted Paul Gallagher ( Liam’s and Noel’s brother ) The Gallaghers are fully aware of Paul B lies and Paul Gallagher said on insta he talks nothing but crap!
Excellent vid and kind of wierd as I'm trying to paint Dee Dee (I am old and play BASS because of Dee Dee) in watercolour whilst surfing youtube when I found this. Onetwofreefour...!
