Hi, I'm Katherine Cimorelli! Welcome to my channel! I have been on RU-vid with my sisters since I was 17 years old as a part of the band Cimorelli. We've had some crazy adventures over the years and I absolutely love being a part of Cimorelli. I created my own channel so I could share videos about the things I'm passionate about and stories about my life. The idea came after a lot of messages from you guys asking me to share more about the topics I care about. Some of those topics include: faith, relationships, body image, writing/poetry and mental health.
I want this channel to be like having a conversation with a good friend; I want you to feel refreshed and hopeful after watching my videos. I'm by no means an expert on life, just a newly married twenty-something trying to figure it all out! I hope you enjoy my videos and that they bring something special to your life when you watch them.
There is great beauty in the ordinary, and there are sacred moments in the everyday.

You're story is so similar to mine! Deffinetly don't feel alone with the experience it takes ages to process. I watched so many videos like you and felt the same way about the honesty in the dark parts of the experience. Its beautiful to look back on but in the moment its like a nightmare. Have a 3 yr and 2 yr old. Both very different experience but still terrify me a little haha. Lots of love you smashed it well done x

Jesus knows and understands. He has witnessed the miracle many many times, "It will be like a woman suffering the pains of labor. When her child is born, her anquish gives way to joy, because she has brought a New Baby into the world!" -- John 16:21 You survived, thank God! My heart goes out to you, Katherine. I gave birth to three children all naturale. But God is merciful, for each subsequent birth got easier, for me, anyway. The first was 8 hours of hard labor. The second, only 4 hours of hard labor. The 3rd...I barely made it to the hospital in time, only 2 hours of hard labor! Hope this encourages you, for there are good benefits for the mother and the babe with a natural delivery.

Thank you for sharing! I went through a very similar experience with the birth of my son, and it’s so validating to hear someone going through something similar. Mine was also unmedicated, which was honestly the only part that was planned. From my water breaking at 6:00pm to his birth at 1:20am with agonizing uncontrollable back labor, it definitely felt traumatic to me too. I also had high blood pressure, which prevented me from using the birth center I had planned on. I also had to be hooked up to monitors that I hadn’t planned because of my GBS+ and how fast everything went. Being my first child, I was fully expecting a long labor, and I learned that often speedster labors are more painful since you’re combining 12+ hours of labor into such a short time frame (7 hrs in my case). The back pain and the feeling of being unable to control my body is what scares me the most about giving birth again.

No not really! And I did the thing you’re not supposed to do- I pushed him out really fast. The one thing I will say is going unmedicated I could listen to my body really easily! So maybe that was part of it..

I know that you're not labeling this experience as good or bad, but this birth story was so encouraging for me to hear! I don't know if you remember the comment I left you last year, but I'm a pre-E/HELLP syndrome survivor, and I'm so happy to hear that your second experience was different in that respect.

Hey! Yes I do remember you sharing that! Thank you so much for your comment. That is such a good perspective and I agree- it’s definitely a big deal (in a good way) to not have preeclampsia again. I am so sorry for what you experienced. It’s truly so scary. But yes I am so thankful to not have had complications this time!

I think you would benefit from a homebirth next baby. I had a traumatic hospital birth with my first. With my second, I had a homebirth and labored so fast and used fetal ejection reflex with minimal pain. Being at home, I was able to fully relax and focus on my birth.

Thank you for sharing ❤. I had a medicated labour with my first, and unmedicated with my second. Both were really positive experiences but at the very end of my unmedicated birth things temporarily took a scary turn and I remember the same fear you described. I still hold onto that fear, 5 months away from having my 3rd baby, and I think planning to have a medicated birth helps calm that fear a bit for me. I love that we have options now, and can make these decisions without shame or guilt. ❤

The honesty and vulnerability in this Katherine is so refreshing ♥️ I feel like it would have been easy to hide a "non-magical" birth center experience but I appreciate how you are raw and share that it wasn't the peaceful magical experience that many share about. You are truly amazing - praise God for the health of both you and baby Asa.

KATHERINE! YOU'RE A HERO! Hearing the 2 stories and how bad of an experience it was for you twice (at least it's what my ears are hearing) i would NEVER go to a birthing center especially knowing the first one was bad..... I'd be convinced this one would be worse but again YOU'RE A HERO! 💙💙💙 And Asa.... I love the meaning of such an unconventional name ❤ and think it's both hysterical and sad that our kids have to live with the decisions we make 😂❤ God bless you mama you got this..... It's what we were chosen for... It's what we chose to do..... It's what we chose to go through 🙏❤️‍🔥

I literally felt being with you in this place and just by listening it was overwhelming. It took me to another world, you are so strong, so miraculous and our bodies are so intelligent. If I'll ever get children ill keep in mind listen to your fucking intuition. Thank you for sharing your experience. I love your baby's name it's beautiful ❤

It's so helpful to hear your experience! With my son's birth last year, I had a lot of similarities to what you described with yours - although I did end up with an epidural (and pushed for 7 hours). I'm not sure whether I'd be ok with "hoping for" unmedicated next time, and it's so helpful to hear your perspective after hearing so many glory stories about unmedicated births. So glad it turned out well for you! Blessings on you and little Asa 🙏

oh man i'm 32 weeks pregnant (and had my first baby last may) and girl I could just feel the contraction pain as your were describing it. I went into my previous birth wanting to be unmediated and because I was being induced they were giving me Pitocin and the pain was soo bad and I remember hearing the nurse say they were going to up the amount of Pitocin and that's when i decided to have the epidural! I ended up pushing for 4 hours even though I was at a 10. That was traumatic for me so I pray to have a similar story to yours during the birth of this baby i'm so close to having! Thank you for sharing your story! I relate so much!

Congratulations on your sweet baby boy Asa! I have 3 singletons. I am an identical twin! All of my babies were born all natural with no meds. My youngest is now 25. It was very hard and hurt a lot, but I wouldn't trade it! Also, my water only broke with my last, and it gushed out for over an hour, lol, and I still didn't have any contractions not until almost 2 hours after it broke.
