I had mine done today, it was fine I had a shot to numb me but it was a little pressure but it was fine, I got stuck with a needle like 10 times but I suggest just relax it’s not bad at all, my neck just a little sore too
I had several cyst aspirated and I felt absolutley nothing .I was surprised when she said she was done.that was many years ago ,they havent returned .....
I have to get one for my shoulder and I'm terrified of needles, I'm genuinely horrified. Currently 2:31 am can't sleep. I do t even have it scheduled yet...😭
Had this done three years ago for a torn labrum. Had surgery. Got it repaired. Here i am the day of getting this done yet again... same silly shoulder. Anyway, it hurt. The pain was something else. Had me sweatin.
I hope this encourages you if you're nervous about having this done. I went for a biopsy yesterday and the procedure was not near as bad as I'd imagined and worried about. They numb the area, it takes 10-15 mins, then theyre done. The hard part is waiting on results and the breast being sore but its not unbearable. Definitely worth it, dont put it off nor be scared away, this procedure can save your life!! My biopsy results, no cancer 🙏🏼 thank you Jesus
I can’t complain about my biopsy. Everything was explained to me before hand and was repeated during the process. Minimal discomfort. Just waiting on results 🤞
I went to have my biopsy. I was crying so hard I could not stay still. I am one of those excited crier. I hyperventilate. This doctor comes in I had never seen him before. He started talking to me from the opposite of my face. I did not like that. He told me I have to stay completely still. They were going to continue with the procedure even though I was still crying . I told them I wanted to leave. Why would they want to do this procedure where you have to stay completely still to a women who clearly could not stay still? I have not gave up on the biopsy but I will take a Valium first.
Either you suck it up or don’t, no options, what do you expect? Nobody is going to force you to do Jack shit. You have the right to refuse so don’t act like they forced you
I went today for my shoulder and it he injection part I’m not gonna lie wasn’t the most comfortable there was a lotta weird pressure and a lot of weird pinches, just breath through it, it only lasts about 30 seconds
I had an MRI with contrast recently but they just put the contrast in the vein of my arm. I have a shoulder problem but no one has ever put the contrast in the shoulder. I’ve heard when the contrast actually goes in the shoulder joint it is seen better rather than the injection going into the vein.
I want to know why you have to have a mammogram after they put the markers in your breast to locate the area? In my experience mammograms are painful because of how far they have to compress your breast to get an accurate view. With this marker in your breast wouldn't it just break inside your breast if they compress it down as in a usual mamogram? Would really appreciate a response to my comment. Thank-you.
For anyone having a thyroid biopsy, don't be afraid I just had one this morning. I was prescribed lidocaine and the morning of I put it in a thick layer over the area covered it with a clear occlusion dressing, it's clear and waterproof, wash the area real well before applying, I did it an 1 and half hours before the procedure, along with the dressing and I felt NO pain at all, nothing but something moving around in my neck that was odd, but it did not hurt at all. I hope this helps someone❤
I read all these comments on here prior to going in for this procedure today. I felt quite comfortable going in as the majority of you said you felt no pain. Omg I don’t know if my doctor was not very good or what but that was honestly the worst pain I have EVER felt and it’s still agony 4 hours later. I suppose every patient is different but be prepared for it to really hurt.
pain is fine, im getting this because i will not go into the mri tube, even at gun point. so i will take any pain as long as im not going into a metal coffin like tube.
Honestly if it’s your hip you’re having done, that side of it is a doddle I only went in up to my shoulders, my head and neck didn’t go into the mri. It was the pain from putting the dye in, that was worse than child birth and crippled me for a day or two afterwards 😢
I just had a thyroid biopsy 06/01/2022. I was so nervous more so because I recently had cervical surgery. The thought of a needle in my neck in the area where I had my cervical surgery had me scared as it was still tender. I felt a little pinch & burning but was so relieved. It didn't hurt at all. Now to wait for results!!
I had this done today. They put on a topical cream, then injected the lidocaine to numb everything. It was then that the needle was put into the joint. I felt nothing through the whole procedure except a small sensation of the joint being full as he injected the dye. Lots of worrying turned out to be nothing. I told him to numb me good before they started, and I think the topical really helped. 8 hours later and I feel fine with no pain.
I have a cyst it was the size of a marble, went in a had a mammogram and it also showed it wasn't cancer but a fluid filled cyst, I have a appt with a surgeon on monday, HOWEVER the cyst has shrunk in the 2 weeks since I had the exam, if I'm lucky, surgeon won't do surgery and will just tell me to check back in 6 months, if surgery, it's small enough to be in and out within a good hour if that....still cancer runs in my family as well as ALS, I lost my mom and grandma to that
I looked this video after I had this breast biopsie, the woman in this video is all the time smiling, well I did not smile at all! Why: The "bed"is very high and can not be lower, what is strange!I am 77 jears old and a little bit invalid and 2 persons had to help me clime this "bed",after the long time things that they do there was only one person to help me to the flor! All of this nobody told me of this! I was in shock!
Don't know why a radiologist is giving this information. His stat that up to 70% of patients benefit is in direct conflict with the stats I've seen published. 15% positive, 70% relatively unchanged, 15% negative. If my memory serves me right, Mayo clinics stats are similar to the ones I have shown. All the institutions with well respected reputations agree that maintaining healthy weight is the largest factor in managing back pain and extremity pain caused by spinal issues. I'm 60 with 46 years of back pain, currently have abnormalities in 5 disks, spinal stenosis and spondylosis. Good luck if you choose this treatment option.
In 2010, I went to a local hospital in Hagerstown, Maryland with stomach issues. I was later transferred to a large hospital in Baltimore after developing jaundice. There, I learned that there was a tumor blocking my liver duct-the cause of the stomach distress-and that I had Stage 3 pancreatic cancer. I had no prior family history of the disease and was only 44-years-old at the time of diagnosis. I tried so many treatment but still no change, until a friend of mine told me about Dr Harvey, he told me how Dr Harvey cured his uncle with his Herbal Products and suggested I contact him ,so I quickly contacted him and explained everything to him and he assured me that his Herbal Products will cure me which I strongly believed ,so I purchased it and he told me how to use it which I did , after some time I started noticing some changes in my body after 30 days I went for a test and to my greatest surprise the result was negative, Wow I’m so happy about this, thank you so much Dr Harvey. you can also contact Dr Harvey on VIA EMAIL: (Drharveyphytotherapy@yahoo.com) WHATSAPP:+16785689096
Why do Doctors tell lies about the expected, possible ,likely pain that patients feel during this procedure. They call it “ a little bit of pressure, or some pressure, or if they are trying to be at least a bit honest some pain. . Many times the pain is caused by the misdirection iof the needle and can be of an extreme nature for a short time. Doctors be honest , you gain the trust and respect of your patients by being honest with them
In the 21st centaur year medics are still lying to patients about the terrible negative effect of this procedure. . Patients cannot make an informed decision unless they are given the correct Recorded statistics of the risks involved in this procedure. Not the usual Bul sh...” that we have never had a patient who suffered the after effects that you are. “ it’s due to your anxiety” no wonder medical providers are loosing the trust of the patients.
