California has a water management problem not a lack of it. Every time California gets heavy rains they empty dams out and allow the water to flow back into the pacific
Again, LA county taking land and water from the north. Meanwhile the LA river is normally basically a stream. During heavy rains and spring thaw it is a huge runoff channel to the sea. It’s that big concrete valley you see n movies. It runs FULL, like scary full and dumps into the ocean. LA has water, they just refuse to capture it when it is there. They prefer to take other people’s land and water. Yes the water has debris in it, but it is easier to purify than salt water and you don’t need to pump it hundreds of miles. They are just too selfish and lazy to solve the problem.
Is amazing that so many stupid people believe in stop the construction of new dams just because the want to save a salmon fish which is one of the most unflavored things in this planet that fish is not work the penny to save but this planet is full of retardant
The peripheral canal around SanFrancisco would have solved 50% of the water “problem” but the politicians got bought off by the wacko environmentalists and now they are paying the price. Fish are to be fried; not worshipped.
The annual profit using suez cannal is around 6B$. One month of war in Gaza cost to Israel 5B$. Now we are almost 12 month into a war.... 60B$.... I'm not expert, but it isn't look as good deal.
Complete and utter BS. Not that it was needed, but this goes back to Boris Johnson going all Trump and bigging up pre election with fanciful ideas. When he got elected a feasibility study was done and that came back with a brick attached to it. They pocketed over £2m to tell us everything we already knew. Underneath that stretch of the Irish seas lies Bauford dyke which an enormous amount of armaments from Ww2. Add to that, it wouldn’t be just a bridge cost but the cost of a better road network in Cairnryan to accommodate the flow of traffic. A dead duck
California: Swelling population, crippling debt, water restrictions. What can we DO? Also California: I know, let's build a multi-billion dollar high speed rail to Las Vegas!
What will the impact of all the weight of the water be on earth faults? Removing vast amounts of water from aquifers has caused earthquakes. What will adding weight do?
Move the Gaza population south to an equal-sized area just inside Israel (not touching Egypt) and build the optimum second canal and own and manage the canal unilaterally. Saudi will also benefit so they would be agreeable ! Egypt would be pressured to improve the Suez canal or become second class. This incentive would increase the economy of Egypt and likely quiet some of the Egyptian splinter groups. Competition is generally good for the public.
Death Valley has a capacity for 50 quadrillion gallons of water storage the resulting rain and snow fall will water down 7 dry states and cool the region...so it just makes sense right!
Fullerton CA, filters black water to potable status. They pump that back into the aquifers. Not sure why this can’t happen in other cities, it’s more affordable than desalination.
Unpredictable? What you just look out into the Pacific Ocean. in the summer it’s nice and warm and then fall. Do you have the Santa Anna winds fires then in January February you have torrential rains at houses wash away. It’s the same every year.
Facts and dates are wrong! Northern Calif is not a desert. So Cal is the water hog - all of their water is funneled from the north. Sites Resevoir is to catch the run-off and prevent flooding downstream.
Yes, but it should have been done years ago! if they were as concerned about the lake as they are about letting illegals into CA. and giving them all the free resources that citizens can't have it would have been finished years ago !!!
