China's $62 BILLION Plan To Build World's Largest Network of Artificial Rivers
China is undertaking the construction of the world’s largest network of artificial rivers in a bold attempt to essentially defy nature. Spanning thousands of miles with a network of man-made canals, aqueducts, and tunnels that traverse actual mountains, China seeks to transport freshwater from the south to its arid industrial regions in the north. In this video, we will delve into the contentious South-to-North Water Diversion Project: its financial implications, the reasons behind it, its environmental impact, and how it might benefit-or fail to benefit-the Chinese population.

US spend 700 billion dollars in military every years. China spend less than 100 billion to water diversion, which one benefit the people, you chose?😊😊😊

Come on dude, either you’re lying or you just don’t do your research. China spends around $475 billion and the U.S. spends about $800 billion. When you factor in the cost of labor for China it’s probably closer to an equivalent amount around $600-$700 billion. So stop crowing and face the reality that China doesn’t give a twit about their population. Just this past week there was so much rain that the authorities opened the dam gates in the middle of the night, drowning thousands. They could have done it during the day after they warned the people but could have cared less. That’s how much they care about the people! Wake up!

China is very creative in building MEGA projects, built in less time than any country around the world. How much water does floods create? Billions of barrels of water? Underwater Draining Systems in flooded areas could be re-directed towards artificial rivers or underground tunneling Systems! Tunnel Boring Machines can do the same as artificial rivers, less contaminates get into the water tunneling system, less evaporation, and keeps water cooler! Could be even drinkable if connected to filtering stations. Thinking about you China! Instead of building walls, we should be building more bridges! Be an example!
@user-vh5di2gl9b
@user-vh5di2gl9b 9 дней назад
How about piping that water from them dams to the drought ridden north? China famously ignores actual drainage solutions which is why so many buildings flood all the time!

If you factor in drainage for a project you’ve already out done China! Their construction projects are pretty but tofu dreg! Inspections are a joke and are run by bribes and standards are ignored again because of bribes. Everything in China is junk!

Actually, any modern architect who includes appropriate drainage plan, correct concrete mix, etc etc etc…. Everything to real standards followed by proper building and real inspections is way out in front of Chinese projects. Or have you missed all the videos of Chinese tofu dreg construction?

What China does to it's waterways has nothing to do with the rest of the world? It is within international agreement on rivers originating from within the country. Brahmaputra River will never be exhausted as rainfalls on the Southern side which is hard to retain. It's primary goal is to provide the much needed water for the thirsty regions in NW China.

Artificial Rivers are called Canals.😅 Canals are awesome. 😍 I think what China should do is to make the country one big canal network so water can be diverted across the country to where it is needed the most 🥰

What other choice is there? Something has to be done. Some have suggested investing into individualized large water wells. That is along with current river and water ways, having isolated and well placed large wells drilled, tapping into areas where a well would not effect the ground water level to a high degree and pump as needed. It would be cheaper but also is dependent on below ground water levels. Another is water piping from the Himalaya foot hilsl all the way south to Central and NW China areas. LIttle has been talked about concerning this but in theory, it would be faster and cheaper and in case of an earthquake, much easier to repair, cost effective.

This is the best that China could have done for itself at this moment when the West is unnecessarily stuck in a conflict with Russia, otherwise if it were not for this war, the West would have done everything to prevent China from arranging its country according to its needs. We have all seen proof of this in Libya, where for no reason at all, one of the best projects in the world was destroyed, which aimed to improve living conditions in the harshest areas, if you just look at Libya you will see that it is an area the size of the EU, and that on the other hand, it is not the size of the EU. But, unfortunately, only 6 million people live on it, the whole project would have an extremely good impact on Europe itself, for several reasons, first of all, all the migrations that the EU people do not want would be redirected to Libya, which would solve the problem of migrants in Europe from Africa as well as from the Middle East, and therefore they would have a chance to live in the Middle East. All these migrants would work to produce food, which means that Europe would have cheap food .

Provincial Government & Water Security is imperative just as a matter of planning and developing China as a country. Here in Califonia, some 50+ years ago, the California Aqueduct system is a series fo canals, pipelines and other infrastructure conveyance work which collects and moves water from nothern California, the Sierra Nevada mountain snow-melt runoff and the Central Valley, and transports that water to Southern California. The sothern part of the state has semi arrid weather and only receives less than 12 inches of rain each year, typically. The aquaduct system provides water for the very populated area, and lrovides water for agriculture, industry and of course domestic consumption. It has been a necessary and great success. China in managing its land and resources is doing the right thing to ensure water security for its provincial goverment(s) for all the reasons just mentioned. Bravo China!
