Hello i got a Chevy Aveo 2008 Hatch 1,4 Petrol.I managed to find thermostat but the only problem the opening temperature is 105 temperature which i found it a bit high for the size of my engine.Anyone knows where can i find thermostat with opening temperature at 90 degrees temperature.
friend, thank you very much for the video, it was very useful to me. I see you from Colombia. I like your videos. I have an Aveo LT 5, year 2009, Ecopec engine and I need to know how to lower the radiator on my Aveo. I hope you see my comment. Thank you very much for what you do. If you can. Reply to this comment I would appreciate it very much God bless you my name is gilber
You guys are highly rated here, but this particular video is neither well-produced, nor are your instructions particularly clear to rookies. I'M a rookie to this topic, and I'm trying to replace the thermostat on my '09 Aveo5. You made a point of pointing out that the "female torx socket" is a tool rare enough in use, that Chevy deliberately chose that fastener because it would stop most people from fixing their own car. That must mean that most people watching the video aren't familiar with this tool. THIS means that you should be clearer about exactly what SIZE female torx socket is required for this. You appear to be saying I need a "number 2", but it isn't clear enough to be sure, and I'll have to watch another video to try to find out.
big thumbs up for your little helper, what a cute little guy , oh and good job on the thermostat repair too thumbs up for that too!!.Dad and Uncle earned too.
The great video! You could see everything you did and you could understand it. I just knew that was going to be a trick and those bolts sure are a trick. But damn I thought it was going to be a whole lot harder than that. How much did you pay for the thermostat and housing at O'Reilly?
Thank you for the time to help. I’m a self taught you tube mechanic! I need you guys. Lol saved my butt many times on my Jeep and my moms vehicles and others’ vehicles as well. Had to since divorce is not a good thing I did what I had to do. Right?! I LOVE the little boy tweaking the rims with the screwdriver! My heart melted because he’s gonna work on engines and he’s just too darn cute. Mine turned 20 today. Don’t blink or you’ll miss it.❤️
I have the same year Aveo, same engine, and same code. Is the Thermostat the only culrpit when it comes to this code? Or, are there other issues to rule out as well?
Is the hose connected to the thermostat the top radiator hose of the car? I’m trying to figure out how I’m going to add this gasket sealer to my 2011 Chevy Aveo that looks just like this under the hood and since there is no radiator cap, I have to pour it into the top radiator hose but I’m not sure where that is located?
I enjoyed that video more than i hoped I would! Especially at the very end with the BSOD! I have one of these I've had it sitting for more than a Year in it's Box, I opened it and noticed some strange grimey sorta gunk in it, and they refused warranty. So I'm stuck with this. But I've currently got my Ryzen 5 3600 cooled with a Cooler Master Hyper 212 Blackout (with 2 fans in Push/Pull) so it's allot cooler than it's Stock cooler, but not Watercooled. Last time I opened the Box I noticed quie abit of the Coolant has Evaporated
Hello! How are ya doin' today? How's your family? How was your 4th of July? I saw you playing Sid Meiser's Civilization 6! I have a suggestion on what you can do with your Twitch channel points-- Viewers choose who you raid!
Awesome step by step! Will try it tomorrow and let you know how it goes. i ordered this one before seeing the link on your vid! same thing? www.amazon.com/gp/product/B06Y67ZNZS/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I just got mine today would you suggest changing the fluid it comes with all together? Mine had little specs in it and isn’t clear like the extra fluid it came with.
I usually used a closed loop system but this makes me want to buy this system because you have options to expand the system to cool down other components and it is fully maintainable by allowing you to add more fluid over time... I am not too sure about the bug in the fluid though that is almost a deal killer.
I feel like a bit of an idiot right now.. I was reading up on PSUs, and GPUs One of the GPUs that look appealing listed its PSU requirements for cable as 6+8 I was getting annoyed because the PSUs i was looking at (including this one) listed their PCIe cable as a 4x8 ..and then i realized that the PSU listings ment FOUR 8 pin cables, and not 1 4 pin + 1 8 pin...
Happens to us all. Plus the four 8 pin connectors are a 6+2 so so you can use them as either 8 or 6 pin connectors. It will work as two 6 pins and and two 8 pins, in case you were doing Dual GPU? so this one will def work for a single GPU
@@Jake3D Yeah thats the assumption i got as well. Dont think this is the PSU ill be getting (i think a 750 watt is enough for my stuff) but it does have the same PCIe connectors as the one im looking for.
Jake i wish you would get more into what it can handle, rather than the looks and kabels. I just bought one and wanted to know if it can handle my cpu and graphiccard. Thank you
Its a strong power supply, it should handle any single consumer GPU and CPU. So GTX 1080 or 2080 + i7 would be fine. It handles my 2 Gtx 1080s and an i7 6700k with no issues.
Sorry to hear you had a bad experience. For me it much more quite than any other PSU I have. Maybe you got a bad fan? Do you normally specifically get ultra quite PSUs? 🤔
@@Jake3D yeah well that happens, in the mean time there are more than a few experiences on forums etc with this psu. its a know problem. im a gamer so i have a good GPU and demand more power for gaming. but not to much so its a problem that the fans go 80-90% on this load. i got another corsair but this time a gold one and its perfectly quiet.
Yeah, my friend's got a cx750m paired with a 9600k and an rtx 2080 and as soon as you get into a game, the power supply revs up like crazy to "jet engine" speeds.. like he can hear it outside his room with his door closed and it also has INSANE coil whine.
