It seems welcoming town 😊, I am working with Emirates airline (Dubai) as cctv operator/technician in aviation security department 6yrs exp. Fortunately, I got Poland work permit & expecting to migrate Sweden next year(2025). You are staying in umea so, I hope can answer me ( apart from student life ) umea is good for jobs + what about family settlement? Thanks
Umea is beautiful /peaceful city north of Sweden but only problem is very cold 🥶....❤ Uppsala also bit colder but lund uv town is good if you cant deal with cold 😊... Anyway nice video sir big respect from Dubai

It's a little expensive now. You can get a part time job but you need to have some patience and need to search. Join FB pages, spread the word in your circle and also once you will be here then automatically you will come to know more about it. Don't worry 🙂

Hej Chelsea. My written Swedish is not good at all so answering in English. Smoking is very much controlled in Sweden so as on public places i.e airports. Dont worry at all, you will love your stay in Stockholm.

Hi Asim, thank you for the thoughtful video! I'll be studying at Umea University soon and have gotten a student hostel in the same neighbour as you! Was wondering is there any safety measures implemented at the hostel to ensure student's well-being? Do you see any security guard patrolling or security cameras installed?
Don't worry. Security is very good in whole Sweden. There are no guards patrolling because they don't need it. Every hostel entry is secured with locks and a key will be provided to you. If someone need police then they are very active and just one call away.
Familiar places for me! I am a Library and Information Science student in Umeå. In the end of August, my second out of three years will start. There is already one difference: the course literature is not at 4:50, but in the renovated Learning Space on the other side of the library. LIS lectures are held throughout the university area (except KBC, Police, Teacher's and Universum Buildings). [9 August 2022]
Like instead of self check in are there normal check ins where staff checks us in like in normal bangalore airport and give boarding pass and attach tags to bags and take baggage at counter

@@duartesilva7907 in students housing most of the time kitchens are shared and you can find utensils. But it's good to have your own. You don't have to wait for cooking or availability.
Hi, how much could be a monthly rent for students who come with their families of 3 to 5 family members? Is it easy to find an outside house for rent which is near umea university? Thanks

Thank you so much. Students do get part time/full time jobs in Umea. But it's not that easy. You have to search and have some patience. Big cities definitely have more opportunities but sometimes with lots of traveling time.
