These people still missing that tariffs if you raise the cost of the import above the local producer(assuming it's available) the local still increases the cost of production from that step all the way to the end consumer. It's still going to cost the US consumer not China, Mexico, wherever. With China it also triggers counter tariffs on our exports to China hurting US exports. Is Ben’s argument of “selecting from a pool of people most likely to assimilate” not eugenics? Also he wants to allow only those who he deems worthy of entry into the country as if the vast majority of red states aren’t raising uneducated adults severely lacking the critical thinking and knowledge to succeed in society. Ben wants to create hoops for those coming into the country when people already here wouldn’t even be able to jump through those same hoops.

I work adjacent to a police agency & was speaking with one of their captains the other day, long story short he said "Some of these officers are making close to $100k/yr. It is their job to get out of the car & help." In comparison, my staff is making $19/hr & are being left to handle situations on their own, even when theyve called dispatch for support ... which they dont normally do unless its really needed. We were heading towards a recession in 2020 before Covid and Covid finalized it. We were officially in a 3 month long recession when Trump was in office. The last recession we’ve had was when trump was there Ironically, Covid was his saving grace and made an excuse for him to sign that MASSIVE spending bill which got us out of the 3 month long recession but massively contributed to the inflation spike in 2021
To the folks who genuinely think that voting for the lesser evil is still wrong/not worth it/wont do it, two good faith questions that im genuinely curious about: (1) can you mention some of the personal actions you ARE taking to fight against the Trump or Harris administrations? (2) am i correct in thinking/understanding that you believe Palestine and those who live there are ALSO indifferent to which candidate wins? And/or that their situation is not worsened to any extent by the victory of one vs the other?
At this moment in time unhinged Trump seems like the lesser of two evils, it's a testament to how incompetent and pathetic the current administration is, and that's why Trump is most likely going to win.
Media is paid for by ads so yes it's influenced. Podcasters taking money are influenced by ad revenue and their financial contribution from their audience.
