Do you have a video showing a Eurpean MkI to do the same? The ones I've seen have a closed pocket at the back of the light cluster witha screw inside, the one I have has an open pocket with no visible screw at the back. I'm assuming the open rear pocket on might may slot in and trim tools may remove it but don't want to break it - thanks for any assistance you can offer - RegaRDS jEREMY
Thank you so much for the video. It helped me when puting the ashtray back. Was strugling a lot before you showed me the hole at the back, that gave me trouble. I guided the pin a little bit and ... the ashtray just slotted in perfect 😊
Hi @clayslewis8442 Yes I used some anti rust applying it with a small artists paint brush to try and keep it as neat as possible - not that it matters too much as it is covered up either way. Thanks for watching. Please remember to subscribe.
@megagyalis - I understand your thought process. I figured however that with a Tesla at least you are ahead of the game compared to the other Electric alternatives, so I don't think you can go far wrong.... fingers crossed.
@@HowtoMan Still a great car regardless. When I bought my 22 model 3, they had just started fitting matrix led headlamps. Then few months after delivery they changed from intel processor… then they removed uss, changed the cameras. Small upgrades like those. So I’m sure they’re going to remedy the steering wheel button signal issue a lot of people have been complaining about, even though seems minor & or, may have aftermarket potential.
Maaaatttteee 2.9s 0-60mph - That is supercar speed 😀. But hey fair enough, I get your point, it is no Ferrari. Good point re the video quality, I think it is time to update my video editing software. Thanks for watching, and for the comment.
@ewanM11 - I absolutely love it, and would definitely buy it. I personally think it is really cool. HOWEVER - My wife definitely does not like it. She thinks it feels tinny in side, she thinks it is not luxurious, and she thinks it is too expensive!!???!!!
@@EwanM11 My wife has her heart set on the Volvo Ex30, so looks like that will be the car we buy. No matter how much I tried with the Tesla, she still didn't change her mind.
Hi @Megaselby - good pick up. The Edge is actually the top spec. I personally didn't like the interior on the Edge though and also couldn't get past the extra $4k just for a vehicle which supposedly is a bit better off road. Thanks for watching - please remember to subscribe so you can correct my future errors 🙂.
Thats crazy - I've now been driving it for over a year, and they still work fine????? @anthgott please share what is the impact of them being in the wrong way as they seem fine to me??
Hi Salvadoppel - The screws are all just small torx screws. I would recommend you get yourself a screwdriver drill bit set, and use a slow/controlled drill. You can see from the video that the crappy little screwdriver that I used took too long to unscrew the screws. It would have been a lot faster just using a torx drill bit on a drill. Hope you learn from my mistakes. Thanks for watching, and please remember to subscribe.
Nice car but not sure I could live without the complete absence of buttons for frequently used functions such as for H&V and the lack of a head up display (or driver’s binnacle). I can understand the sense in seeking to minimise production costs but IMHO Volvo and Tesla have taken minimisation too far.
I know exactly what you mean. If I get either the EX30 or the Model 3 it is going to be a huge learning curve getting used to the absence of buttons, and this is not something I am looking forward to. Thanks for watching. Please remember to subscribe.
Thanks for the vid. Used this today to pull bank card from the retractable bit. You're a legend for the video. Screw VW for making that so inaccessible. I recommend ordering a new card over doing this task for all future card losses who read this comment! 😂
Thats a really good question. I am in the final stages of deciding, and like you am down to either the Volvo EX30 or the Tesla Model 3. At this point I think I am erring towards the Volvo, but I am taking the Tesla out for a second test drive before I make my final decision.
@@HowtoMan thanks , I test drove the ex30 yesterday. Wasn’t as impressed as with the model 3. It did drive nicely and felt a nice build quality. But a few niggles I didn’t like, infotainment wasn’t as impressive, one foot driving not as strong , 180 camera is more 160 Camera , which I need for my drive and park assist was bad. But I like the size and styling better than the model 3. Trying an MG4 tomorrow . But not convinced on that one.
There was no need to pull the headliner down fortunately. Everything seems to be good at this point with the job. I think I would prefer to bolt the support onto the roof rather than pop rivet it, but if you bolted it you would definitely need to drop the headliner, or at least pull the edges down to get the access. Please make the Job again , the Brake Pads are different !!! You got 2 same Pads for the Outsides and 2 different Pads for the INSIDE ...pay Attention to the direction of travel for the INSIDE Pads !!!! Iam from Germany ,my English is as Bad as You have this Job done.
Hi, what year is this Golf? Is it like this on every Golf 7? I have a 2015 Golf GTD and i want to change that plastic, possibly without removing the whole center console.
Hi @O.Yos93 I'm not too sure which metal clips you are referring to, however if I need any clips of trims, I just go to a car scrap yard / wreckers. There are loads of Golfs so you can always get any of the bits you need. They are usually always pretty cheap as well. Thanks for watching. Remember to subscribe.
Glad you found it useful - It is really an easy fix, and its easy to get the replacement parts from a wreckers. Thanks for watching. Please remember to subscribe.
I love mine. I think it looks great especially the side view which is urban grey I chose it over the mg4 which ive had previously. Also ive had the cupra born and niro ev. Good performance, great efficiency and really nice interior. Mg4 was bland, you see 1 in every street amd the mg dealership in the UK was shocking!
@peterarmstrong3853 I think you got a far better colour. I think the pinky colour is pretty hideous. Although that's just my opinion and I know there will be others out there who will love it, so hats off to them. Thanks for watching. Please remember to subscribe.
Solid Feel, 5/10 wow, it must feel significantly less solid than an Atto or a Seal as I think those two feel really solid and well made, especially at the price point where I live.
@GDM22 They are definitely a really good car for their money, and they drive very nice. When comparing them against a Tesla or an Audi, they are definitely not as solid, but that aside I was definitely impressed.
@@HowtoMan I have a Tesla and an Atto, to me a score of 5 suggests it is avergae at best, I haven't driven the Dolphin but the one thing I did expect was it to have a solid feel based on the other two BYD's. Your review seems what I would expect elsehwere, thanks.
Hi @antonbothma242 if you meant bulb, just plug your microwave model number into ebay and you will find one. That worked great for me. Thanks for watching.
Yes, it is on the Driver front side. Check out the video at the 3:15 mark and you will see the charge port above the front wheel. Thanks for watching, and remember to subscribe to get notifications of my new videos.
@motorhomemark I completely agree, it’s not my cup of tea. I would spend a bit more money and get a Tesla. I can see how if you were on a tight budget you would buy it though. Thanks for watching. Please remember to subscribe.
The exterior it is not for everyone and the interior it's made for chinese people taste atto 3 its even worse, its like seeing a overdress chinese tourist wearing night gown on the beach.
I’ve owned a M3LR for 3 years and recently test drove the new one. It’s very taught and stable. I got used to the indicator buttons quite quickly. Some will prefer the stalks I guess. But it’s a dream car to drive. My next will probably be a MY but I’ll wait for the Juniper.
Batteries operated car bus ,fire engine just waiting for karakaboom moving fire risk batteries need to replace when degraded any appliances like toy, phones, that use battery need to dispose wat ever names u call them he who recommend it will not buy yet damaged batteries operated car
Oh I detect someone who made it to grade 10 at school. Ever notice EV sales are much higher in high education level suburbs. Tell you anything. No I suppose. BYD blade batteries don’t catch fire. Tesla batteries have done in excess of 1.5 million miles. 7 to 10 times the useful life of an ICE car.
@Jausel1 I cant really say I disagree with your comment. However I did think it was built well which was a big surprise for me. Thanks for watching and remember to subscribe.
I tend to agree with you blhouston. I was really impressed with the build quality and feel, but as for the looks - nah - not for me. Thanks for watching and remember to subscribe.
