I used cold packs because the spot was red and warm and getting worse. It made a difference over night. What the hey! and of course an anti inflammatory pill. Happened on a Monday morning could not walk by Tuesday I was able to wear shoes and went right back to work. Amazing!
had my first flare... first thing I did was put ice on it and after a few minutes the pain was unbearable! switched to warm water, and the pain diminished.... I wish I had seen this vid sooner. I don't understand why people recommend putting ice!
Hey Doctor Pete, going through your videos and you listed foods not to take including protein powder, what is the reason for that? I trust you are well.
Lots of plant toxins and inhibitors of nutrients that are in the meat. Seems like a very bad combination. Why not just eat beef and ruminate meat? Or at a minimum separate the plant inhibitors from the meat by sufficient hours, if a large meat meal then 12 hours.
Is there am objection to taking citric acid ... to avoid the potential K+ health hazard? Would not K-citrate be protonated in the high pH of the stomach anyway?
As health care professionals I knew there had to be a way to dissolve Uric crystal once they entered joints and surrounding tissue I just didn’t think it was applying liquid heat. I had a flare up in my elbow and near the arch of my feet. I was doing ibuprofen and max hydration which both work but takes time. I tried dry heat on my elbow without success. I soaked both my elbow and foot in very warm water for a minimum 30 mins and had instant pain relief. This worked for me but you should consult your doctor or health care professional. Thanks for the info.
Tried it, soaked my foot nearly 30 minutes in hot warm water. Gout flare inflammation completely cut off and loosened. Able to walk after that. I think I'm beginning to understand the concept of this flare and why the body tries to initiate high inflamed temperature at the spot where the gout is. Thank You
I've had gout since I was 16yr old I'm 65yr now. Drink water. then drink more. Then drink more so clear pee in 15 min. Heat hurts. I know what works not sure about this guy
Xylitol gum gave me a gout attack and i didn't know that before, i was focused on the teeth cleaning effect of it before i searched that it does cause a gout attack😔😅
Previous gout sufferer on a monthly basis, much improved on Carnivore but has raised my uric acid. Just had a massive gout flare in my knee after running a couple of 5ks consecutively, had one similar last year also had one other week in my foot after cutting it with a garden strimmer. Trauma seems to be a cause, would allopurinol help? GP advising it with my running
I agree with you about the premise of this paper. Anything that can alter the inflammatory state of step 1 of the gout flare can result in movement to the full fledged painful flare. I think UA is a normal part of this inflammatory state.
So people who are carnivore or on keto diet and don't eat any fructose, sugar etc and have gout might have benefits by actually adding allulose to the diet?
