I have been to Poland a few weeks ago, and I fell in love with Polish cuisine! I always ordered pierogi at restaurants if I could! Can't wait to make some of them myself!!!

Hello Anna, I amloving your Polish recipies, they remind me of my mother and childhood here in Australia. Unfortunately, mum passed many years ago, and si can no longer ask about the Polish recipies. Mum was born in Poland, Novy Scozc area and canto Australia after the second ww. Your cucumber salad here reminds me of a dish which looked similar, but it had fish(herring fillets) in in it. Not sureif the fish was fresh or salted prior to being put into the recipie? Do you know of this recipe, if so i would like to see you make it. Many of your other dishes remi d meso much of my mum. Thankyou Peter

Have you ever heard of "knydlie"? My mother, who was from Stanislawi, Poland (now Ivano Frankivsk, Ukraine), used to make them. We called them "bulka balls" because I know a main ingredient was cubed bread rolls. I'm pretty sure boiled in water. She always served them with a beef roast and gravy. Sure would like to know how to make them.

I live in Poland and I'm British. Polish sausage is great fried but takes a lot longer to brown / colour than UK sausages (probably because they have a much higher meat content but I'm not sure). Yep a lot of Americans want rubber eggs 😂

Hello, my Polish grandmother used to make a dish that we called snowballs. As far as I remember, it was bread with the crust removed and torn into pieces, mixed with onion and bacon, rolled into balls, and then fried in, I believe, bacon grease. They were insanely good, but I have never been able to find a recipe for these and have no idea what the Polish name for them would be. Does this sound familiar to anyone? Much appreciated.

Well my Mom and her 5 girls with all the girl cousins French, Polish, Ukraine, Russian combination on the prairies got together and made hundreds of these except we served them with sour cream with the butter onion fried lightly in the pan. Oh sooo good. All the aunties took part in teaching us all to roll, cook make and fry so many pierogies. Thank you for your lovely videos of Cabbage roll etc.

My Grandma was from Hungarian/Russian parents and she made the best cabbage rolls! Hers were pretty similar to this except she used bacon fried crisp and then sautéed her onions in the bacon grease, bacon and onions went in and when it was all rolled and ready to cook it all went into a pot stovetop and tomato sauce poured over to simmer in until cooked through. Served up with fresh cooked mashed potatoes on the side! Yum!

I'm a regular visitor to Szczecin, my mother in law lives there ! It's a great place to visit with lots to see and do. There are many excellent places to eat and drink. I can especially recommend Cafe 22 if you would like a panoramic view of the city. We'll be back there next month ( September) , looking forward to this as always.

Hi from Virginia. I'm originally from the UK. Just discovered your channel. My maternal grandparents were Polish, so I was introduced to the cuisine from an early age. I was lucky enough to visit your beautiful country in 2008. Based ourselves in Krakow. Amazing city, friendly people, and a wonderful country. I'd live there in a heartbeat but the language is very difficult.

My grandmother wrote out her recipe for bigos for me. Naturally was written in Polish. So when I looked at main ingredient the recipe plainly stated. What ever ran by the cabin. She had great sense of humor.

You guys RoCk! I am second generation polish Ukrainian as my grandfather lived border wise. He always said he was Galician. All I know is, I am truly to the bone, polish Ukrainian. I was raised cooking the food and so proud of my grandparents and all they struggled with to get to Canada, however, my grandfather was diverted from the US up to where we are now. I just want to thank you for making me feel like I am at home with you, how is that at thing, but it is. I feel a longing to go, but with the war and all that is going on globally, I will wait, but I thank you both. Lots of love and good health, but good eats as well! I look forward to anything dough! Bread!!!! Love you guys!

I have been making cinnamon rolls lately and have begun to wonder what else I could fill them with. Your poppy seed filling is giving me ideas. Plus, I have recently learned that poppy seeds have many wonderful nutrients in them (but are not psycho-active). Thank you.

I personally think you are the best Polish cook on TV! I love what you do and how you do it. I am of Polish descent (I’m a POTOCKA)), and from time to time I cook Polish dishes? I like the fact that you have prepared and presented so many Polish dishes. I find it so handy to go to your recipes when I feel a little confused or unsure. Because like my Mum, I tend to do everything off the top of my head, so, there are times when I find myself in a spot of bother. Great work, Anna! Greetings from Australia!
