Great work you've done here! By the way, what's the name of the stuff you used to remove the price tag leftovers from the back of the phone? Was it just a regular, old isopropyl alcohol?
I also like how neat-looking the project turned out in the end! Good creative thinking & planning! Also, the idea itself is novel as well - I don't recall seeing any other RU-vid creator doing anything similar.
There are some diy channels on youtube, but not so many, simply because of the amount of work that this things need. For a diy project you need to do a lot of things from electronic to 3d design and sometimes programming and software modding. Also when you see my videos in many cases you see the video fast forwarded 4 or 8 times, so a half an hour video actually took many hours to complete, in some cases even days. So it's difficult to do this kind of content unless you really enjoy doing it :)
Great soldering skills! I've done some basic soldering and desoldering work on electronics myself and it's definitely not easy when you have big soldering tip like the one you use in this video!
I’m seeing a ton of comments talking about a resister needed to keep it a 5 volts… I’ve got two questions, 1: how do you know if a charger goes past 5 volts and 2: does a resistor come with it if it’s needed, if so where would you solder it.
A resistor is needed if you use higher voltage chargers, in this case i only use 5v chargers or charge it from computer usb which is 5v by default. You can search usb c pinout to find where exactly to solder the resistor
Those enamel-unsulated wires going straight to the lithium battery look scarry. If they short, this thing will melt. I would replace them with something better insulated. The project is cool though!
Sad to hear the GPD laptop crapped itself, it was impressive to see you doing Cad design on it. Hopefully this will be a worthy replacement, keep up the good work. Your channel is very interesting and I look forward to future videos.
Thanks a lot, I will try to reinstall windows, hopefully that will fix it, although I had the same problem with another GPD micro pc that is now completely dead
I wonder, is it possible to completely replace the DPAD with a 3DS style circle pad? i get that circlepads output analogue but is it possible to convert that to digital and just input that into the dpad pins?
Great job Also I want to make my own smartphone hand handheld But I don't know how to find input buttons in mother board To make it like psp Can you help me to find input buttons in mother board
nice bro aa simple diy tablet just like diy. dr k in korea, some old gaget phone turns into a console, important is ur expert in soldering in electronics diy keep it up bro
Find this video because my intrusive thoughts told me to search dslite with controller, also maybe DS dock could be cool idea for this, imagine tv out and this (not all game suitable for this but why not)
You always make the most cursed stuff I could think of, but I can't help but respect the process. it's no longer e-waste and could be pretty nice to have.
