this is SO cool, you are very talented! i have an idea for you, idk how hard its gonna be but can you make a psp with an extra screen in a dual screen setup, and have it emulate ds games on each screen?

Does this require flashing the firmware? I’ve wired everything up but the ds doesn’t register any input.

It does not require any flash, since you just replicate the buttons. Make sure you solder the wires to the correct points on the motherboard. Use a multimeter to find the buttons contacts

How the freak? I really thought this was gonna be a mod or a hack, but it was seriously just a simple soldering if I get the kit I could probably do this. This would do really well on the DSIXL because it’s got so much space to put those sliders.

As far as i know there is no kit. You can do this if you get the joysticks

I wonder, is it possible to completely replace the DPAD with a 3DS style circle pad? i get that circlepads output analogue but is it possible to convert that to digital and just input that into the dpad pins?

it is possible, but it would require the modification of the circle pad, similar to what I did in the PSP dual analog video

yes and no, is to big and it uses a tape but a psp is smaler and cheaper, and have 4 contacts that u can use

it is smd joystick not sony psp joystick. the smd joystick is like a different switch from the PSP, namely the X and Y scale barriers
