I've been obsessed with the Academy Awards since I was nine years old and watched my hero Steven Spielberg clean house at the 1994 ceremony with his back-to-back masterpieces Jurassic Park and Schindler's List. I started studying the history of the Oscars soon thereafter and have been fascinated by all the winners, nominees, no-shows, and controversies ever since.
I hold a BA in Film Production, MA in English, and MFA in Creative Writing, and what I try to bring to my videos each week is a mix of well-researched analysis and entertaining commentary that bring a new level of insight to you, the viewer.

Eric Roberts was ROBBED of not just a nomination but robbed of the Best Actor Oscar itself for 1983's "Star 80". EASILY one of the most powerful and most haunting performances to EVER be committed to film. SERIOUSLY
I knew you were going to say Jim Carrey! That was one of the biggest Oscar snubs of all time. The movie was so stunning. I was upset when he didn't get a nod.
To be honest I think and believe Meryl Streep should have 5 oscars and I can place a very good argument she should’ve won for death becomes her I mean it’s a 3 lead movie where every actor came into it giving there best but Meryl Streep is the stand out and carried that movie that character could’ve easily been a 1 2 more character but she made her sooooooo much more literally one of her top 5 peformances if not 3
Cage not on either list is ridiculous! Are you worried about a horse 🐴 head being left in your bed? Coppola is the worst “actor” of all time, not even close.
Denzel Washington and Russel Crowe are both absolutely fantastic actors. I frankly don’t care about the Oscars, though I understand it is a big deal in that industry.

Am I the one one that i find Portman's performance in Black Swan one dimentional? in Jackie she was exceptional ,but in Black Swan it was the same voice tone and mannerisms the whole time
Viola doesn’t get enough respect for her acting she should have a major career but her work in how to get away with murder even though it’s tv should be watched and studied I mean truly remarkable and that last season everyone on the cast deserved nominations at the Emmy’s because they out on an acting clinic/workshop
