This is lovely. Genuinely. Though as a player myself, I just never understood why bending a string would make a guitarists face behave like they’d just got a punch in the nutsack. Nothing else, just bending the strings. After months of not playing when my fingertips have gone back to being soft, the sheer pain and rawness still doesn’t make this happen.
It’s not about pain it’s just a weird thing with feeling the music. Worst part is I used to make fun of other people for doing it, and then I didn’t think about it for a while, and I improved a lot too during that time. Then one day I realized I was pulling guitar face during bends. Can’t control it. No going back lol
Wow, great video. You definitely showed how easy it is to get a good tone out of the Box. The noise gate can be controlled by global settings, of which there are a fair amount. I got this to use for effects on my Tonex. So far I’ve been having fun with the very good amp models onboard. Great playing, subbed
I abandon my perfectionism when I play guitar. It's like therapy to me. Improvisation is such a release. Nobody cares about your mistakes, so why should I? I live for those moments in the zone when the stuff I've learned and practiced over the years explodes out of my subconscious mind. I only wish it happened more often!
Absolutely! Well said! That is probably the best things about music to me. Improvising and somehow everything clicks and flows. And you can’t really achieve that while always try to play perfect.
In the 80s all we had was a turntable and flipping back the needle..he's spot on about developing your ear..also in the hands not the gear..most importantly vibrato..most players even good ones have an undesirable vibrato..feel and vibrato..develops your own personality..good luck to us all..keep playing..God bless
I always play by ear, and I'll check tabs for help. Then I'll go back to ear to figure it out as you are correct they are not always right unless on a legit website. The scales are my kryptonite
I suppose I got caught up in tabs for a long time in the beginning.. better about using the ear these days though. Two things.. just wanted to say great lesson.. and what you said about the modes.. couldn't have been said better. You hit that nail right on the head brother. So many people creating so much unnecessary confusion it's gotten laughable 😂 I've probably fell into all the categories at one point or another so I can relate and I'm sure alot of people will too. I've probably been playing as long as you've been on the planet but that doesn't stop you from teaching me something every time.. so thank you brother and as always keep rockin🤘
@@JayRod711haha that’s great man! Yeah tabs are a rough one to beat, it seems so easy and convenient but just doesn’t develop musicianship. The modes are a big problem for a lot of people too. It’s very difficult to take a player who has learned theory (modes specifically) wrong and then correct them. I usually refuse to teach them until a guitarist knows the major scale very well already! Also, I’m glad to hear you enjoyed video🤘
@@JordanSteele it is very difficult.. I was that person a while.. it took me a long time and it was specifically like you said.. all the videos out there with incorrect info. It's definitely a breath of fresh air to see someone who knows what they're talking about addressing this whole mode theory issue.. rock on man 🤘
fantastic...at first I didnt care for the shape but now that Ive seen AND heard it..ive changed my mind..this is a kickass guitar soundwise and looks...its just quality always looks good...
Unable to find “Artec Locking Tuners” anywhere. Artec only makes pickups and electronics: how does Sean order something that no one else has ever seen?
I feel that you are slightly skirting the issue is it better than Gibson or equal; maybe trying to justify the price hike you paid for your Gibson's in your mind!!! I would buy this over the Gibson because why pay more for a name and not any more quality added for the extra price of the Gibson !!!!
