Really good info. Seems like the evolution of the role, based on how you played the right in Bristol, is to be even more aggressive in attacking the opponent directly across from you. Not only are your partner’s forehand dinks more consistent, but their forehand counters are more offensive. Great job getting the gold in TN. Looking forward to watching you and Quang in MLP.

I think the TV view could really benefit from showing the camera angles in the same vein that you have them here. Do pros ever talk about that? Because the bird's eye view is great, but doesn't display the reaction time or the speed of play that could potentially draw more viewers like me in.

I think it's fine. They need to draw energy to stay engaged. I don't support screaming into someone's face at length so I watch for that very closely but never saw Alshon did that (versus a video circulating of Parris Todd roaring into someone's face, that was hard for me to watch). I think he's just trying to stay pumped up, it shows he cares. I like the competitive spirit. It's not personal at all

So McEnroe needed some yelling and controversy to play better. I think you should ask yourself if all the yelling makes you play better. It's one thing to be excited when you do something amazing (and you do do amazing things) but ALW or BJ hitting the ball into the net doesn't warrant IMO. I'm a fan of yours, not a hater.
I think at that point it’s the last ditch effort. Nothing to loose, it may or may not work, which it didn’t and backfired. But worth the try since momentum can change and you just never know.
I think it depends on your partner and how they feel about it at least in rec play. Sometimes if my partner is slow getting to the kitchen I will get a dink on their side and then we can call switch.
me and my wife play straight up but she plays the left as well as most guys and i get some right side play to practice backhand ernies , btw i play with the tko-cx 12.7
If you're playing seriously to win, you have to have the stronger player get big in the middle. Rec play is different if you're just playing for fun, no need to take up that much court if your partner didn't agree to it beforehand. Nice vid.
Super helpful video! I’m getting ready for my first tournament and this was the exact video I needed and my partner. Thank you! Also switched from the JOOLA to paddletek 14mm off a friends recommendation and can’t believe the difference.
This video should be titled "Justifying being a douchebag partner" or "Playing singles to improve mixed doubles rating" or "She's just here so it counts as mixed doubles"
@@dude7597 CP is certainly NOT the #1 female pickleball player. ALW is #1 in all divisions by a wide margine, except women's doubles only because CP is her parter and she played an extra tournament she didn't with someone else.
