one time, i got away with prestidigitating a car in a modern high fantasy game to escape authorities! the primary effect was changing the color of the car (and the DM ruled it applied to the whole thing), the secondary and tertiary effects altered what the license plates read (think like using a symbol to turn a 3 into an 8), it was more or less executed without a hitch!
I think there is something really funny about the target of so many jokes for being so squishy, the target for so much violence and... The way the license and his flavor text evolves from a really weird flavor to "being a backpack", to hacking systems (first just messing around and then creating physical stuff) and then... Osiris It makes the Goblin so much MORE I personally had never read past the license I and his base traits and core system and WOW Wasn't expected this little guy to be the fragile egg of a god
only played 1 game of lancer ever and played this bad boi. I saw it in the book, the GM explained what it was to me and I immediately was just like "YUP THAT, Playing that!"
So I can turn my Lancer into a human version of a Craver from Endless Space... This would go too well with someone who is a Balor pilot. Slowly been losing touch with their physical humanity and slowly turning himself into as much of a monster as his mech is
i hate this spell is so fucking annoying dude, because literally there is NO reason a high level wizard shouldnt just be running a build iwht 80000 different glyphs and just discharing them over and over
I am ALWAYS a fan of mechs that breaks the typical humanoid form Death Head, Lancaster, Kidd, Minotaur, Swallotail I love them and always want to see more of them and to play them just by their designs
Time movibg difernt at high speeds us based on one flawed study where the scientists admitted they tampered with the data and didbt take geavitational dilation into acount
What I personally thought of was 2 shipborne AIs that previously weren't NHPs becoming one due to circumstances only Sisyphus could see coming, but one of them being aware of what the humans could do to them and therefore covering the "suddenly becoming NHPs" bit up well enough to the point the crew doesn't notice and hatching an interesting plan to prevent discovery and capture: creating an artificial body and a fake identity, from origins to current occupation. While the ship is far away from the core worlds on a colonized planet that only started establishing itself a few decades ago an artificial body gets printed while most if not all the crew is either gone or asleep. Then they get introduced to Johan, a diasporan of the colony that wants to go off world for the first time in his life, with a nice little story adjusted specifically for maximum sympathy by the crew, and they take him in. The NHPs leave behind copies that are adjusted so that they only are going to be noticed under severe scrutiny, which isn't going to happen anytime soon. And so, Johan leaves the ship and now you've got 2 completely cascaded prime NHPs that have effectively shackled themselves so that the Union Science Bureau doesn't find out they exist in the first place. Let's just hope I actually can get a group together, don't have to GM myself (I could but I really want to be a player) and that the other person that is the GM would be cool with this concept as a new character. Let's just hope these factors will align.
This is the video that introduced me to Lancer, and I wish I could combine the Lich frames resurrection feature with the Manticore’s Castigate The Enemies Of The Godhead
The ship interface reported we had a bunch of pirates breaching the transport we were currently aboard. Most people were worried, at least those that weren't part of the team I was part of, one of the oldest Lancers amongst us had also vanished. When I asked if they had ran to hide, the others... laughed. Said that he wasn't running away, he was running to them. Apparently his closest friend, our former Tortuga turned Balor Lancer, mentioned he was getting batty without some... 'fun'. *Meanwhile* "Dammit, how hard is it for you to hack a door?" "Look boss, I'm doing my best, but someone is interfering with- What the?" The terminal they were hacking now shows only one thing, a singular message: Turn around, smiley face! Turning as it said, the pirates noticed something walking closer, clad in a cloak. The sound of a chainsaw revving in the air, quiet, psychotic laughter getting louder each passing moment. Then a whirring sound as a grappling hook rammed itself into the leader's mech. Now coming at them full force the cloak fell away, revealing it to be a Blackbeard as the pilot finally spoke. "Let's have some fun, shall we?!"
Me when Zaktact describes the horror of the Balor: Gimme gimme! When he talks about the horror of the Goblin: Oh no, oh dear, get it away from me! GET IT AWAY!
I am starting to play in a Lancer campaign soon and I wanted a simple mech to aim for as a first License. The moment I saw the Drake I fell in love! Can't wait to just sit on the battlefield like a smug turtle and spray enemies with bullets! I've decided that I should solve the Heat problem with Nuclear Cavalier rank 3 so I can even mix in some red hot cooling rods every now and then, yaaaay!
i would argue the Tokugawa is the mech that Char Aznable from Gundam would use. It's the mech for the hot shot ace thats also a officer. it's only missing a red paint color and a command fin to look like the Red Comet. Think about it. If Char has a mech, the Sherman be too clunky, he wouldn't use the Genghis, Napoleon is too different. the Tokugawa would be the mech Char would use.
I love the implication that using magnetic forces to take metals from things is the toned-down version of the effect or possibly even a comforting lie, and the technology the White Witch uses can just make metal exist from any material or maybe even just space. It doesn't create a magnetic field, it creates a field that makes it so your body can now be metal that it makes armor out of.
