Bright Line Eating is changing lives. Our community is full of real people achieving their Bright Transformations. What's a Bright Transformation? It's the world of possibilities that opens up when you are finally free from hunger, cravings, food thoughts, and excess weight.
You absolutely answered Peggy Sue’s question so genius! You are so gifted in explaining yourself! Thank you for being so thorough and thoughtful in considering everyone in this BLE community!
I’ve done Bright Line Eating several times and I’m now on a GPL-1, compounded tirzepatide. I prefer the drug, not because it’s easier, and I personally lost weight quicker on Bright Line Eating. However, I was so metabolically ill, and since childhood COULD NOT keep my blood sugars stabilized. After a lifetime of trying to eat clean and exercise, I had to admit to myself I needed extra help. Metformin made me lose my short term memory for awhile and after that I was scared to take anything for my glucose levels. Because my weight had crept up again, my doctor suggested tirzepatide (same ingredient as Monjauro and Zepbound) and it’s hands down the very best health decision I have ever made for myself! Because I ate so clean and had good habits, I was able to keep my blood sugars just under the actual diabetic level but I was swimming upstream and didn’t realize how hard my body was fighting me until I got on this drug. I have realized I may be the person who simply does not produce enough of the GLP-1 hormone in high enough quantity on my own in my gut and brain, and may have to be on this drug my entire life and I’m ok with that. If that sounds wild to you, it also sounds wild to be because I don’t like needles, or pharmaceuticals period. But this has been an absolute God send to me, and well worth the risks, which many of can be mitigated by pro-active behaviors. If I had a lot of weight to lose and not the means to get on this drug, I would do BLE again as it was the 2nd best thing that helped my metabolic issues, and people can do it just by buying Susan’s book and following.
I don't have a personal experience with these drugs. I have a friend on one. I am not sure which one. My concern for him is the side effects from this shot he takes and also how it interacts with the other prescription drugs he takes. These too have side effects. I know rx drugs are necessary for some people but I worry about the number of different drugs some of my friends are on and the side effects they are already experiencing.
The information you have provided has been wonderful. I just wanted to clarify something regarding popcorn. It is not a "flour". In its whole form, it is a whole grain. The packaged bagged ready-to-eat popcorn and popcorn sold as "microwaveable, do have highly processed ingredients which definitely can affect the gut microbiome as well as contribute to lighting up ones pleasure center which may cause issues with cravings/food addiction. If the whole popcorn seeds are air popped at home (these can be microwaved in a brown paper bag with no oil) and homemade seasonings/flavoring (ex nutritional yeast, garlic powder) are added this can be a great snack in place of chips or other highly processed snacks.
Appetite suppressants stop eating for people that pay attention to appetite, but in my personal experience l rarely binge as a response to appetite. I overeat to relax, to escape, to calm my stress. That’s why l don’t think these drugs will work for food addicts or binge eaters.
Binge eaters can't binge as they will throw up as emptying of the stomach has slowed down. If you throw up enough, you will stop over eating due to the bad experience. Also gastroparesis is REAL. That is a disorder nobody wants.
I am really concerned about one issue in particular, which is these drugs causing gastroparesis, which diabetics can already have as a health issue. Someone without diabetes surely would not want to court any of the potential side effects, especially since there is a very effective and healthy alternative like BLE whose benefits go way beyond being in a right sized body. I am also very concerned about the long term lack of nutrients (already a big problem in our society with so much processed food consumption) with drugs that just make people not want to eat at all...possible connection between that and Ozempic face? Protein, certain minerals and EFAs are so critical for skin health...perhaps those deficiencies are causing or contributing to "the look" or it could simply be a matter of too much weight loss too fast and in an unhealthy way... perhaps both.
I don’t want to be overweight! And I don’t want to be sick! And I don’t want my joints to hurt! It’s crazy that people can bluff themselves to think that being overweight is ok it’s very unhealthy! I’m no where near where I want to be but I know I don’t want to stay here and stay stuck!
Thank you so much for giving BOTH pros and cons of the drug. I have been taking the shots now for 8 weeks and definitely wanted to incorporate brightline with this so I can keep brightline after the shots end
Hi Susan - Asotin (far SE corner of Washington State). Ive been in my goal range for the past fuve months (down 55 lbs in appropriately 1.5 years).. Weight loss was less challenging than maintenance for me on BLE, but Im successfully navigating it with the extraordinary support available for those of us Bright lifers. I'm 5*1" and 76 years old. (Tried intermittent fasting over a few years prior, but kept gaining and losing the same 30lbs.) Lifetime high weight of 204 lbs and a lifetime of diets. Now 118 lbs. Very, very, very grateful to have found BLE.
Barbara West from Springfield Missouri. Starting my 9th week I think. Fell off wagon today. Will start over tomorrow. Disappointed in me. Have done so good. Think down 17 pounds.
I have been on BLE for about 6 months and took off about 50 lbs. I have relapsed for about a month and I am gaining rapidly! I do not want to go back to where I was! It was a very dark place! I’m here to get back on track and finish taking off the weight and stay healthy! I’m watching every video to get inspired again and start over! Thank you Susan!
Love you and love BLE lifestyle!! I am 2 lbs away from my goal! This plan works and I have tried everything in the past! Just over 2 months and I have lost the weight I needed to be in my bright body! Thank you so much!!😊 🩷
This video is so helpful. I am having great success with BLE, but have avoided the bootcamp because I am seriously introverted. Will definitely reconsider now😊
For me I took a more holistic approach. I follow a Mediterranean Whole Foods diet with delicious olive oil, vegetables, bread, pasta, fish and chicken. I also enjoy red wine and dessert about once or twice a week. I’ve maintained a healthy weight for 5 years after being overweight and obese through my 20s and 30s. I am now 50. I am a Catholic Christian. I pray for several hours everyday, my husband and I serve the poor and also go for walks to attend church most days and stay nicely active. I found your program to be too restrictive and believe God blesses us with all these gifts - not just foods that don’t contain flour or sugar. If we follow His will and reduce our stress and pray and love others the need for this type of restriction is not necessary. Praying for you all to find joy in the gifts of God. ❤
It’s not for everyone But there are some people do actually have a brain that can’t digest sugar or flour It is a drug for us It may be hard to understand for some that don’t have the same problem But it is a real thing. Sugar is as strong as being addicted to heroin or cocaine. I’m so glad you can enjoy all these wonderful things There are just some things that isn’t permissible, when you feel like you can’t stop and you have food chatter in your head all the time.
I am Catholic too but no amount of praying or moderating can stop the physiological changes that occur in my brain when I consume sugars and starches. Alcoholics are the same. They can't moderate their intake. It's an illness, like any other and the treatment is abstinence ❤
So sorry to hear that Glenda, but we're glad you found us! Have you watched our first video in our groundbreaking new video series "How to Get Weight-Loss Drug Results... Without the Drugs"? If not, check it out here: ble.life/y6ej5o Video 2 will be released in the next 30 minutes!! 🧡🧡🧡
❤ Thank you for your work. I'm a 10÷ I think. Always eating wrong things then getting depressed and feeling guilty. Then, like a crazy person, doing it over and over.
