@@jd646 why? What difference would it make it? I would not buy it again, it’s quality issues. If they can’t control labels, how are they going to control quality of the oil? Hoping my engine is not damaged
Label is the quality issue. If company has no control over simple labels, how are they going to have control over oil quality. Simple But yet hard to grasp when you don’t work in this area
100% same message I have been telling people for years. Several transmissions have a suction side internal filter that can only be replaced when unit is torn down for overhaul. If you have enough debris to clog up a suction side filter, then that trans needs overhauled anyway. A suction side filter only gets more efficient over time. Better to install a Magnefine filter inline to or from the cooler if you want to keep more wear particles out. The suction side filter is at best a 100 micron filter, where an inline filter with a magnet inside it can do 30 or 40 microns or better and prevent more wear particles from ever entering the valve body to cause trouble.
I mixed 10w30 5w30. 5w20 all together during oil change to see it could damage my motor on my 2011 ford f150. Truck has 256000 miles now still running strong
I installed a can recently on my 2014 F150 ecoboost(GDI) and i've gone over 2k miles and the same amount of black oil in the can about a quarter of an inch (no brownish sludge)caught hasn't changed in just under 500 miles when i first checked it. I drive it a good amount so, i don't know if it's hurting or helping. I guess i fell into "you need a catch can" crowd because of my GDI engine. Truck still runs great, but i did gain a mile and a half per gallon. Time will tell. Thanks for sharing the video, i kept the OEM hose and can always put that back on.
Hi, I have a 2017 Honda HRV. The place I live usually has temperatures from 58 to 95 Fº all year round. The recommended oil is 0W20, should I use 5W20 instead? Thank you in advance for your help.
I switched to fully synthetic Amsoil 5W-30 in my Lexus GX460 with 7k total car mileage and changing oil every 3k. Will never use ow20 as stated on the cap. This is all for EPA BS reasons.
I use conventional 10w30 on my 2007 corolla with Liqui Moly Oil additiv for the past 5 years on n off. In my experience it has done good to my engine make it run smoother n a bit quieter...
I brought truck oil mobil 1 for 0 7 impala.i drove hwy miles with heatwave about 1900 miles.oil lost maybe 3 0z. I think still good.impala has 113k miles.
What are your thoughts about using 0w-30 instead of 0w-20 or 5w-30? I live in Texas with 175,000 miles on a 2017 Chevrolet Silverado1500 6.2L V8. Thank you.
You can use either one, I prefer 5w-30 due to fuel dilution for extract protection when oil is diluted with gasoline , but I would change it 5k miles max or 6 months which ever comes first
Just my opinion and don't care what anyone else puts in there vehicles. My V8 ever since its first oil change gets GTX 10-30 full synthetic. My V6 sonata ever since 2008 only gets GTX 10-30. Both vehicles get mobil 1 filter both vehicles get oil dumped every 4,000 miles. Oil and filter is a cheap price to pay to make your vehicle last. You can do whatever your manufacturer recommends but as for me I rather not
@@repairvehicle my 2008 sonata has 3.3L with 232,000 My 2013 ram with the hemi has 128,000 and has not developed the bs hemi tick. On the other hand that damn sonata has had the defective timing chain guides and tensioner since about 150k. Yeah the chain rattle for about 4 or 5 seconds at start up after that its fine. I run the crap out of that car since its my commuter car. I plan to run it until it self destruction but with 232k on it I have zero complaints
In Mexico, the original Toyota 5W30 oil was manufactured in the USA by Mobil, now in 2024 it is manufactured by Idemitsu in Mexico and since the change of manufacturer the engine noise has been reduced. I have always noticed that Mobil oil causes more noise in engines.
I continued running 5w30 in a turbo 1,2 litre engine because the previous owner ran this oil. The manual gives the 0w20 as the best choice and then the 5w30. The car brand is Toyota. The only reason i don't change to lower viscosity is because i am afraid of oil consumption with the thinner oil.. the car has 136.700 kilometres odo. What do you think about lower viscosity?
First time using Amsoil on my 2012 sonata 2.4 GDI with 211k miles on it. I Use 5w20 signature series. Did oil change at 7500 miles. Oil analysis shows 2.0 fuel dilution
Your video was extremely helpful, didn't know fluid should be changed every 3 years. Wish I had found your video sooner.Looking forward to see more videos from you. Thank you
There’s another video where they run a catch can and the intake and valves are just as dirty but the carbon deposits are drier and even harder to clean than the deposits without the catch can. Good video, I won’t be installing a catch can on my wife’s Kia telluride
