Hi @robinkauffman5731. Happy to connect, Robin, but I'm reluctant to publish my contact info on RU-vid. Unless you have a better idea, look for me on Facebook and we can connect there. Same name, same caricature.
I wish, Leonid. I granted Channel 10 exclusive on-stage access, in exchange for a copy of the raw footage they shot; then neglected to pickup the footage in a timely manner. It disappeared. Not their fault. Mine, entirely.😢 It remains is a nagging, unforgiving regret and a painful reminder of the perils of procrastination.
@@RapDaddio You mentioned "Copy of the raw footage". Does that mean WPLG still have the master? I checked the Wolfson Archives site and they have some newsreels from this concert, including a shot of Ringo drumming NOT seen in your film. They even posted a single camera shot of the concert, but it breaks after 40 minutes and Ringo would join later that night :/
@@lenchik1 Years later, WPLG was unable to locate the backstage footage. If I recall, almost all of the available Wolfson footage originated at WTVJ. Most is washed-out and badly deteriorated.
Think about this, in the 1980s a Ferrari 308 was 45,000$ a nice home 175k and 1 million dollars was worth the real million. Now 2023 in miami a shit home is 1 5 million a Ferrari is 580k USED AND YOUR MILLION IS SHIT CHANGE! WOW how times have changed
The only thing missing from this segment is the drug money that built the downtown area. The crime that spiked from 80 to 90 and the incredible influence that Miami Vice had on everyone during that decade.
I miss Miami of 1987 Sundays on the Bay restaurant on Key Biscayne had a girlfriend she looked like Gloria Estefan gas food restaurants were cheap homes too rent was low on South Beach ⛱️ not anymore too much traffic and over 300 condos built that huge Condo next to the Miami Freedom Tower it's ugly looks like thousands of people living in it only South Pointe Tower was the only high rise on South Pointe Park still love Miami Beach and and that delicious Cuban foods Colombian food and Jamaican food there I was at that 1987 concert when Ringo Starr was there I was backstage great times
Thanks for the nice comment and inquiry, Alan. Would love to help you out, but there are hundreds of super-talented young editors and cinematographers in South Florida highs schools and magnet programs who can out-shoot and out-edit me between classes. Some would take-on a project like this for the experience. Others might try to put the arm on you for a few bucks. In either instance, you'll be happy with the outcome and they'll be happy with the experience. Good luck.
You gotta love all those guys pitching Miami Beach as a middle class family destination when a year or two later the photo Teams And the gays would descend and remake their city for them. They didn’t expect that the repainted facades were what did it.
I was expecting to hear; Tommy Vercetti: Hello Sonny. Sonny Forelli: Tommy! Tommy, it's been too long. I know, I konw. You're just overwhelmed with emotion. Fifteen years - seems like only yesterday. .... .... That was my money Tommy! My money!
Miami were another City while American People had everything charge. When the Latin people starting obtain charge majority the city putting more expensive and complicated for living. Sad
Its funny they were using all kind explanations as to the investments and expansions when at the end of day it was the Cocaine that created it. 3 billion in bank deposits lol.
