Forty years after completing the only undefeated Super Bowl championship season in NFL history, Roy Firestone introduces the 1972 Miami Dolphins players and coaches as they reunite to commemorate the team's historic 40th anniversary. As always, coach Don Shula gets the last word. And it's a classic!!
Recorded December 15, 2012 at the Olympia Theater in downtown Miami, following the premiere of the documentary tribute, "More Than Perfect."

I met Coach Shula a few years ago at a event where are grandchildren went to school together. I found him and his family to be polite and gracious. He was the one person that was the architect that demanded perfect practice which produced perfection on the field during a game. I recommend the book Always on the Run by Larry Csonka and Jim Kiick,.

To this day, he remains the most graceful, elegant athlete I've ever seen. He's also one of the classiest, most elegant human beings I have ever known.

I love the smack-talking. Deep rooted compassion that players and fans have is why NFL football in America rules over every other Sport and always will

Hi i think i still might have a football card with your dad on it i was a collector as a kid.His dolphins beat up on my bills and jets all the time back then. I rememer your father was an excellent special teams player who blocked few kicks as well as cornerback and thinking why cant my bills get more players like him?

The 1973 and 1974 Dolphins were better than the 1972 team.

Well if you want to have retro rule changes then we need to move the goal posts back 10 yds so the Skins make that TD and now a different outcome may occur. We also take away hitting the QB and MIA is penalized all day for hitting Kilmer under the jaw with a helmet and we have no bump & run so Charley Taylor is wide open all day. Where does it stop...? 73 Dolphins were better, 85 Bears win by 6 TD's. That Steeler team was only there because of a miracle. OAK beats MIA just like they did in 74..

So they beat one good team on the road? LOL that's why this video has only like 1,000 views... everyone knows this team's soft lol

MOST OVERRATED "record" in sports HISTORY..! They played 2 teams above 500. during the season. With that easy sched. they were rested for the playoffs & still almost lost to Cleveland & beat the up and coming Steelers. BFD. They get to SB VII & luck out against the Skins who hit the goal post that nixes a TD & miss a chip shot FG. That is all the difference in that game. They're not even a top 35 title team. OK Shula, enjoy your PO-dunk lame record. Every Superbowl winner would squish the fish..

They had a soft schedule In 72 agreed, they won 17 games including the playoffs then won 12 of 14 the next season not including the 73 playoffs.

Cry me a river. They led the NFL in OFFENSE DEFENSE and SPECIAL TEAMS. They also had the least amount of turnovers and also had the most takeaways. On top of all that they were the least penalized team that year. Nobody else has EVER done it. PERFECT. To hell with ya.
