i have an xdj-xz and would never use it as a controller for rekordbox. Rekordbox is the worst dj software ever. I have long played with traktor pro 3 and a kontroller, and traktor is just king in dj software. I only use rekordbox as an archiving and analyzing program. Rekordbox 6 couldnt even stream on the net, you needed a workaround for that. Traktor has the streaming function just built in. Also that subscription thing, which you see everywhere nowadays, i find horrible. I'm currently running rekordbox 6.8.5 i think, and i will stay with that.
@@reedy8585 its purely intended to grab as much money as possible and the company has a steady flow of money coming in. You also see this with synth and effect plugins.
Version 7.1 has the same issues and also the issues occur even just running the software alone so it is the rekordbox software. The firmware and drivers for the controller are irrelevant at this point but for the record I am running the latest firmware/driver. One thing all my systems have in common is they all run off m.2 hard drives 2 are nvme and I'm unsure off the top of my head with the surface 4 i know it's m.2 but it might be on the sata interface. So maybe that has something to do with it.
I also have the issue where I am using rekordbox 7 with my Rev 5, and when I load a song on either deck it freezes for about 5 seconds P|lease note all my music is on a external ssd HD a fast one, plus I am using a M1 Max 32gb and I am having this issue The software is ridiculous
Genuinely speaking the actual build quality is not to bad and lg cells pretty good for the actual price you pay definitely gonna add some foam and covering on the usb port tho thats pretty dodgy how they didn't do so in the first place but hey for a 48v 15ah battery thats the one ive got anyways for £246 Genuinely cant complain great video on it mate was very helpful they also sell them under the nane unit pack
Its that AMD processor btw brother. I had one and had these problems looked up online and rekordbox barely supports AMD switched over to a intel i7 been buttery ever since
You should be able to fix that by clicking the setting cog and changing the audio device from the drop-down menu, if you plug a controller in the output will default to the controller outputs so you'll need to plug your headphones into it.
deepest sympathies, lol. Sorry you are having a hard time. I just installed and am doubtful I will use it for anything other than a gateway between Serato & Engine OS.
I started off on serato which pioneer/alpha theata now also owns they bought it just after stems came out , up until now the rekordbox software has been pretty decent there's always been a few little issues here and there with updates but nothing completely unusable like this.
Everyone commenting it's his setup should step back and think, if RB6 works fine on his setup then RB7 should too, RB7 should work fine for all users, not just some. There's definitely something weird going on here. I don't have these exact problems but with mine there is a crazy delay between midi input and the sound being affected in the software and my buffer settings is exactly as it was in RB6 and also the GUI is very laggy for me. Not worth it for me, it looked like a nice update on the box but nah. Shit's wack for now.
I have the same setup but with a MacBook and not a single problem think it’s just your set up. Also why not use a usb like normal that would make more sense
Have you tried increasing the buffer time in the Audio settings utility up from Default, maybe 15-20 ect? Have you also tried "disabling" all the "extensions" in the options, Stems, Video ect. They claim it now runs 40% odd faster than Version 6, i don't see that personally but not having this severe audio glitching like yourself even when i tested it on a super basic Dual Core Windows Laptop. Rekordbox has always been super Glitchy historically though when you run it against Serato which is always Butter.
I don't have a fancy Pioneer deck like yours, but I use Virtual DJ and a Numark Mixdeck Quad and it's great. I wonder if Virtual DJ would give you less issues. You should try it
aside dumb comments and wanna be dj's in this comment section. I have similar issues with RB7 it's total garbage! tbh for now stay to 6.85 till or just swap to denon there are reasons why Pionner DJ was sold 3 times and now it's owned by Chineese company who apparently does not care about quality standards.
Similar problems across 3 different systems personally watch video and read comments other people having similar issues but thank you for the brain dead comment
Has anyone found a fix for this? I had this problem last night, not as bad as this but still heart stopping moments when I was playing at a wedding 🤦🏾♂️😂 it’s definitely not my laptop it’s a brand new i9, 32gb ram gaming laptop.
@@Mr__Fogg all the others on the market that don't corrupt your USB playlists at a moment's notice forcing you to reformat. That connect your controller easily, the same every time, just by plugging the cable in. Where you can edit song info/comments while a controller is connected. Easily records sound with the record button while linked without having to reference an unofficial youtube tutorial video. Able to easily connect to OBS or other recording software without having to reference an unofficial youtube tutorial to get it working. Able to update your controllers firmware via the software that tells you need to update yet can't download the update directly, or send it to the controller that's plugged in. That doesn't tell you a certain controller can't play FLAC when older models of the same series can, even when it's linked to a PC so the controller is not actually processing the FLAC files, the computer is directly from the hard drive. That doesn't let your computer go into screen saver mode when linked then disconnects the link, forcing the controller into a 4 beat loop and you have to reset the controller. That doesn't change how FX works while linked. Not to mention the awful forced cross-fade volume dipping that Pioneer has forced onto customer. And Many other ways I'm sure i'll find more of in future of using Pioneer and Record Box.
@@reedy8585 HP Envy x360 from 2018 with an i7 processor and 16gb ram. I've updated the 1TB internal data hard drive to a 2TB SSD next to the 256gb nvme boot drive. The controller is a DDJ-FLX10. A few thousand tracks. Not at home to check. In total 450GB music. (Lossless mainly)
@@IanDeVos it's so odd I've tried it with intel and AMD processors my desktop is AMD my laptop is an i7 and the surface is an i3 but I get similar issues on all 3 I would swap the cable but it does it even with no controller hooked up
I had to go back to 6 today. My REV 7 pitch faders stopped doing anything. The BPM would change in Rekordbox but the speed of the track would return to the original BPM after half a second. I thought it was a problem with my laptop so I formatted it, reinstalled Rekordbox, reflashed the REV 7 firmware and nothing. I called Pioneer support and they suggested I try Rekorbox 6 and the problem went away.
no need to go back ! Did you uninstall the version 6 ? you can have simultany the both versions 6 & 7 on your laptop. Rekordbox 6 & 7 are totally separated and there is no conflicts between them. Install both use the 6.8.x for live show and prep. Use the 7 to test new options only cause it's no stable right now
It's unfortunate that product copying is so widespread in China, they even pirate their own brands, so Hailong/Chamrider/UPP may not even be the real manufacturer of some of these faulty batteries but gets all the bad rep because its their sticker on the enclosure. Anyways I trnd to treat my large batteries like IEDs no matter how robust they are supposed to be. I even store and charge them in an old freezer i lined with fireproof materials and i have a sandbag above the batteries so if they catch fire the bag will burn through and dump sand on them automatically. The whole contraption is far enough from my house so it shouldn't pose a danger.
Hi, i have the exact same tiles in my house, we are having them removed. Can you tell me did the self levelling stick to the black bitumen (black glue) ??
