Hi, this channel is aimed to be on general car repair videos. It’s not really a “how to”, more of a here’s what I’m up to. The cars featured in most of the videos are the ones in in our household. Hi I have tried my best striped down past the brakes and disc's off and bought the kit you have to remove ball joint but can't get the 15mm nut off how did you
I know the original bolts are expensive at like 6 bucks a pop but i would rather spend 50 bucks on new bolts for the subframe than put some rusty shit on it, but thats just me. you do you, great work!
Fully agree, also they are one time use, coz subframe to body bolts should be torqued 90Nm + 45 angle + 15 angle, lower arm bolts should be torqed with suspension fully loaded and they also have a torque sequence.
Made the job easy. I have recently taken out both passenger side door locks. FOr the back one, you need to partially take out the window regulator to allown clearance for the lock to come out. FOr the front, n worries it slides right out!
Did you carry out any electrical tests before stripping down the door? Is it possible to determine if it's a motor problem before remving the door card. Thanks.
Hi, I didn’t do any electrical tests. I heard the cable snapping and making a grinding type noise when operating the switch. The front right window works intermittently on this car, I suspect it is the wiring loom that leads into the door that is at fault. I am hoping to do a video on this at some point in the near future. Thanks.
My window has fallen inside the door, the switch still works but obviously it doesn’t bring the glass up or down, it’s just always in the door. What should I do
Hi, this is the item I bought. www.ebay.co.uk/itm/272726693222?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=ghHntw65Q2O&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=x8qfUaibQrK&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY Thanks.
Quick question: I have to replace the alternator, but how do I know how much pressure I have to apply to the belt tensioner? i know thats most tensioner have some markers but i cant find any on this one
Hi, you want to get enough tension on the belt that will allow you to twist it slightly on the bottom. I done that in this video but it isn’t the best to see with the camera angle. Too slack and it’ll slip, too tight will cause premature wear or cause it to be noisy. Hope this helps and that you get it sorted. Thanks.
Great video, recently did mine. Unfortunately im getting an annoying knock noise now. Been under the car again to check everything is tight but i cant figure it out
Hi, did you renew any of the suspension components? Double check that there’s no play on the anti roll bar drop links, track rod ends, and inner steering arms. Hope you find the issue. Thanks.
Hi, trying to manually pull my window up as i think the motor has gone, if i remove the motor unit should the window go up with little resistance? Thanks
Hi, If you remove the motor from the regulator it should allow you to pull the window up. Sometimes the wires in the rubber conduit going into the door from the car body can break and stop the window from working, worth checking. Thanks.
hallo ich habe gerne opel corsa.D aber ich muss immer motoröl.aufullen ich habe bei werksttat gekontrolliert.aber es gibt kein problem kein ahnung haben sie idee.oder eine hilfe ich müder immer motoröl.kaufen
Nice work. Quick question, did you note where all of the bolts go? I may have been a biff and stripped the subframe off without noting where all of the bolts go. I've now realised that most are different sizes!
When I was removing the old subframe I set the bolts aside and then screwed them back into where they came out, once it was off. Hopefully you get it sorted. Thanks.
@@jamesbremner9957 you could try matching them up with the old subframe, to see how they look. I’m not sure from memory if those bolts are different lengths. I think the 4 steering rack bolts are notably different from the subframe bolts.
Really appreciate this format. No irritating background music is so appreciated. After being a bit freaked by the Hayes narrative am now cracking on with a lot more confidence. Getting the old bolts out is another story, needs time and patience to avoid rounding off bolts and destroying captive nuts. Advise any novices like me to study the many utubes on this topic. Great work on putting this together and sharing.
Did you cut the zip tie at 22:05? I did mine much earlier and messed up the regulator. After fiddling about with it, i fit it on and heard a crunching noise and the metal wire came off. Now I have to purchase a new one.
