This BMW 730d (E65) had a badly worn track rod end.
I sourced an aftermarket replacement.
It didn’t come with a new collar that locks it up on the steering arm, i reused the old one.
As usual, the track rod end was seized. I applied some gentle heat, enough to get it freed off.
I also put some heat on the nut to melt the nylon part as it wouldn’t come off.
For some reason the footage of fitting the new part to the steering arm is missing. I greased the threads on the arm and counted the number of rotations whilst fitting the new part (I counted the turns when removing the old part), to get it in the general area of where it should be.
It was a bit tricky to film some parts of the video without getting in the way, unfortunately.
Thanks for watching.
