She’s right! Taking my official ged math test tomorrow praying to god I pass I been studying algebra ❤😊 good luck to anyone that’s trying to get ged!!!
Once you drew the triangle it was easy to answer, the issue is that on the test I wouldn't be able to identify that it's a pythagorean theorem question just from the words
W video. I seen this on a practice sheet and immediately gained a headache. LUCKILY you had a video on it which really showed me it's not bad at all, I just didn't know how to do it. Thanks!
Hey so i saw this short a while ago went to your website and took the slopes and lines unit. Im really confident in it your a great teacher btw helped me to understand everything perfectly. I have a question. Will me knowing how to do slopes and lines along with me knowing some basic geometry and data math problems. Will i be able to pass the GED with just that knowledge. Ill be taking my GED this Wednesday im pretty nervous but confident in what i know. But i feel that if i do fail it would be due to word problems and algebra questions i don't know. So im really depending for the slopes and lines to come in clutch for me to pass my GED.
the only problem I see is the time it takes to do a math question like this. why is the ged so fast pace with questions that take so long? im basically having a heart attack just thinking about the test day
They won't all be like this. Just a few. Notice it's an advanced example? Those are like the few hardest problems on the test or college prep. Most of the test is at the experienced level. Here's a good test-taking strategy. As you work through the test, look at each problem and decide which of these three types it is: 1) Something you feel pretty confident that you know or can figure out- do it immediately and move on 2) Something challenging but you think, given the time to think about it, you have a shot- estimate for now, guess on an answer, flag it and come back at the end of the test when you aren't so panicked about time 3) Something you have no idea on or have never heard of- just guess and move on. Don't worry about it. Remember, you only need half right to pass the test so you don't have to know everything!
@LightandSaltLearning I just want to thank you. All your videos have helped me. I passed my Ged math test yesterday because of you🎉🎉🎉🎉. For years I hated Math and didn't understand it. I'm truly grateful to God for you. Thank you 🙏.
I really don't get why there's nothing to solve in the beginning?? You can subtract 11 to get rid of it. You can get rid of the 2x buy dividing since it is multiplying. Or you can do plus 2/3 to get rid of that. There's so you can do so why do you say nothing can be done, i dont get it
I want to say thank you I needed a ged for a job opportunity you are doing a service to everyone around the world. I could barely understand but thanks to you I graduated and can make more money.
6 over 3 is so confusing to me, I'm used to them in fractions and fractions have slightly different rules at least in my brain. I'll trust you but the fraction bar is messing with my symbol knowledge, I'd probably just leave that as an improper fraction of i saw it out in the wild.
Your lessons were a tremendous help I was to graduate in 2007 but life got in the way.So a former special Ed student out of school for 16 years and your listens helped me understand math far better. You have the best math videos out of anyone on this playthrough.
I'm looking into taking a GED. I'm from African and this is different from what I earned in my school. So I came here from your tiktok to learn and hopefully be ready for the test. Especially mathematics is my biggest problem
Can you please explain why 2x isn't multiplying since they're shoved up against each other? You say 3 y are multiplying since they're together. So is 2X. I just don't understand 😥
How did you get 10x and the 40, when you -5/4 *8 and -5/4* -32 using the calculator? I didn't get neither 10 or 40 when I put it in on my calculator like you said. I don't understand.
I'm doing the experienced practice of solving two-step equations on your website, and problems Number 11 and 23 Don't appear to be the same sorts of problems we were doing in the vid. I'm not getting the right answers...
These new videos align to the book we have coming out next month. After the book is released, I'll start updating the site. Here's the link to the book if you're interested! bit.ly/AEGEDBook
Hey this my first time seeing and hearing about the GED test. What do I need exactly and is it just math or a little bit of everything from high school. Also what are some websites that I can use to check the test out or would I have to go to a testing place with other people. Last thing how long do you think it would take to get it if I started today on studying.?
For me, it’s the interpretation of the answer in the form of a different equation. My ADHD HATES this! I failed my first test with a score of 139. JUST TWO QUESTIONS AND I WOULD’VE PASSED!!!!! I’m dusting myself off? Hitting that IXL courses, and scheduling it for Monday. Prayers are appreciated!
A 139 score means you probably need a bit more foundational alg skills. Not sure if you've got any direction in IXL, but without someone very versed in the GED test, you could waste a lot of time studying there for things that aren't a big score boost for the GED. I wouldn't retest tomorrow. I'd wait until you can get a 150 or higher on an official GED Ready test. And use lightandsaltlearning.org for your prep. All our material directly pertains to the GED. The Quick review section is designed for 1-3 weeks before you test. But, like I said, with a 139 score, you may find you need to skill build in the units before tackling the higher complexity problems in the Quick Review
Thank you so much for teaching and making these videos for free!! You have helped me immensely with math. I'm no longer scared of seeing any expression or equation I just want to learn how to simplify or solve it. (And I actually think math is fun now... lmao) Which my past self could never dream of me saying. You have been BY FAR the BEST teacher I've ever had. Thank you, so much.
