Just got flashbacks from basic training (USAF). The whole flight (unit) had to repeat 0 week because of three clowns on our 2nd day. Our Sergeant's name was Cabe, these fools called him Cain, Cade and the last one not only messed up his reporting statement, he called him Commander Cage. The rest of the flight burst into laughter. The next day we started from day one all over again.
In basic me and a bunch of guys snuck honey and sugar packets out of the chow hall to sabotage enemy tents during FTX so fire ants would attack them in their sleep, the DI’s found out and we were put on first service detail for the FTX as a punishment. FSD during FTX was light duty, 4 men to a foxhole instead of 2 meaning extra sleep, first dibs on MRIs meaning good food, we were the only group allows to go on the attack, harassing all the other recruits all night long, I guess they liked our ingenuity, the slogan was anything worth fighting for is worth fighting dirty for
I absolutely respected and loved my Drill Sergeants. They scared the crap out of me in the beginning and in the end I was humbled by the beginning they gave me. They broke me down to build me up, I will never forget them.

pro bodybuilders have the very narrow goals of a) winning bodybuilding competitions, by b) looking extremely jacked. this doesn't even necessarily include things like lifting "heavy" (compared to strength athletes where lifting heavy itself is the goal), or actually being strong (not saying that bodybuilds aren't strong - they usually are - it's just not their focus, it's a by-product of their training. on stage they're usually at their weakest). it would be more apt to ask why soldiers don't look like strongmen as in WASM ("worlds strongest man") competitions. ironically, strongmen do have good endurance because many of their disciplines demand it.

One of my training sergeant had a bone to pick with me after he got in a fight with my uncle that was uigher rank then him and got sent to training school and one day he got in my face for no reason during lunch and start screaming:you mom is such a whore that she is surely winning her money suck dick all over the place and have so many bastard that she is giving them number Then he slap my food right of my hand and said:your such a pedophile that when you are in a town then evacuate kids.... Lets just say that i got in a fist fight with him and he start bullshiting the captain for a 5 minute straight until the captain tell him that mynother 2 sergeant were sitting 4 seat away from me and saw everything themself
