Perrie - just saw this video. Love the comparison! Although this bag (at 18x12x8) is bigger than United's teeny-tiny PI requirements (17x10x9"), it is perfect for American Airlines (18x14x8), which i also fly. AND the major reason I'm commenting, is that Amazon currently has the bag on sale for $ 19.49!!!

Those plugs/extension cords are great! I have 2 of them; one I keep in my bag for traveling and one for home/work. Orange is for the Dutch royal family - the House of Orange. Loved the kitty cameo appearance 😊
Hi @peggywoods4327 Glad to know that other people love those plugs as much as I do. Sadly, my baby boy Wally passed away a month ago. I miss him terribly. He was the bestest boy!
My husband just went to Europe and didn't take a personal bag. No wipes, ear plugs or even headphones, nothing. It all went in his above the seat carry on. Yet here I am, planning to pack this same bag for our big trip. I will be adding a small flashlight and a clip on reading light that i could clip to the tray or pocket, and a buff i use as a sleep mask/hair protector
@PerriesPassport he did complain he didn't sleep well, and he had to use the plane's headphones LOL. He also complained he didn't have enough clothes 🤷♀️
Coming back re-watch. My lovnock bag is the 15.9 bag... Yet..I am only going 4 days... So..whew...seeing how u did again...I am confident I can do this
@PerriesPassport ty. I pre practiced with medium...took me a couple of tries...but...I ended up ...with a one bag backpack with this bag. Whew. I can with fjällräven..but...with this bag..the straps are more comfortable..and is better organized. Thank u...thank you

Hi @SimplyKatieFlori ! Glad you loved the video. The only thing I would say about going with just a carry-on, is to remember to take a cross body or something like it, for what you need on the plane. I have done it that way, and it's not hard at all. At the rate you're walking, you might need a plane!! You go girl!~
Thanks for sharing your unpacking video with us. I definitely agree it made more sense to show you unpacking and to show that you really don't need that much on a cruise. Also love the clips of Alaska that you showed too!

I've never been on a cruise but have thought about it numerous times. I was worried about the packing cuz I don't check bags but this seems manageable. Impressive for 10 days! A lot of people are against laundry on vacation but sometimes it's needed/nicer to come home with fresh cleaned clothing lol
Hi @StarlahMutiny It was not hard to do and I don't understand why anyone would be against doing laundry, especially when it's done for you. That being said, I barely used it, since I had enough stuff for the full time we were away!
I just got back from a 2-week trip (EU & UK). I pack a Scrubba bag, clothes line, and detergent sheets. I have no problem doing laundry, and I pack less clothes that way. I always end up getting a couple new things anyway 😊
Yes the color of the kislux is beautiful and it is a great decision, maybe one day they will add feet and straps. It would be nice to have a bigger bag during the colder months when we have to store gloves, beanies, scarves, etc…
I’ve fallen down a bit of a rabbit hole comparing all the different Lovevook styles and dimensions. Each flight we’ve taken has a different personal item allowance. The last was only 40x35x18cm (15.5x13.5x7 inches) so I used an existing everyday backpack I normally use as a day trip bag. Our next flight allowance will be 55x40x20cm so I was going to get something to the max dimension. Your point about the actually under-seat space is a good one though. Might rethink my strategy …
Hi @amybristow1389 I've been down that rabbit hole myself. What I have found is that sometimes you need two personal item bags, because it seem one bag does not do it all. You need one for international travel, and one for national so you can max out the size of the bag,, but it is always good to think about what suits you the best, and always max out your size!
I bought this bag and we have a love/hate relationship. She’s beautiful and okay for short trips but nothing long. Also, it’s not the easiest to carry once it’s full. The strap slips off the shoulder easily. Thanks for the review!

I love your reviews! I just got back from my 2 week trip to EU and UK. I only flew to get there and get back, I used trains to travel around. I used your tote bag insert idea for the seat back organizer and I must say that worked marvelous! Thank you for sharing all your tricks and tips!
HI, @linbasdeo6108 both bags came in under 15 lbs full, but that is with my pack. Also, personal items tend not to be weighed, especially if they are your only item.
Hi @paulsmith294 I do! They are just different choices. The Take Off is hard shell, and I suggest getting it with its packing cubes, since it maximizes the use of the bag, The Underseat Pro has some give and more pockets and if you have a space issue, becomes flat which is great for storage. The new Underseat Pro is coming out in the next couple of weeks and I will be reviewing it. I used carry-on only for the first time on my recent trip. Quince 20” was the one I used and I LOVED it! While others in my group struggled with their carry-on through the airport, mine glided with ease! Quince, I will be ordering another one for my husband!
Hi @karenhenderson5726 I'm so glad you loved it. I thought that the bag was every bit as good as far more expensive bags and at this point I have a lot to compare it to.
For toothpaste, I either use solid toothy tabs, or if I have any sample toothpastes from long haul flights or hotels, they come with me for shorter breaks! They're so tiny that the airport security said they didn't mind them not being in my liquids bag lol
Hi @knittytofu Did you ever try Wisps? They are these little toothbrushes that come with toothpaste in the handle and you squeeze it and the toothpaste goes right to the top of the brush. I love them!!
I also wish you’d shown the measurements after the bags were packed. It’s difficult to believe that first bag remained at 8” depth when it was fully packed out. This is something that I’m keenly aware of because we have a flight with Turkish Air next month and their carryon limit is 21.5”H x 16” W x 9” D. I practice packed my stuff in a 18” x 13”x 8.5” backpack and it easily bulged out to just over 10” deep. I had to switch to a slightly bigger backpack so everything could be distributed more evenly to stay within the parameters.
The first bag was actually only a 1/4 of an inch bigger then unpacked and that was because I did stuff the front pocket. The fabric didn't have much give. The Manhattan bag didn't budge a bit and I can tell you in real life, that the bag went through Easy Jet no problem. I encourage you to read the reviews on Amazon amzn.to/3LVtIno
Hi @craigo2142 The weight was 12.5 for the Manhattan bag ( I know this since I used it packed that way for Easy Jet. I didn't weigh the Metz bag, but it is a lighter bag, so I would assume it would be lighter with the same pack. The Manhattan bag went through Easy Jet with no problem.
Unfortunately, neither of these bags complies with Westjet requirements, and that is what i'm flying this fall. Also, it looks like the bags would be out of size compliance after they're packed. Did you measure after packing?
Hi @cynthiaprewitt301 Not only did I measure them after packing, I kept the Manhattan bag and used it on EasyJet with no problems. Hi @lauralinkoff3776, I tend to reshuffle my dirty laundry into one bag, and the clean in the other. If I am with family I tend to do laundry there, otherwise I do it when I get home.
Hey, I did buy the MyGreen from your previous video and it is great..but it's a bit heavier than the Lovevook. However, this Cabinemax Manhattan (2nd one) is really appealing the way it packs, opening up like a suitcase and also because it is 1 lb lighter than the MyGreen. I love the My Green's adjustable handles that can go over the shoulder as well as the cross over and it would do fine but it feels sort of heavy to me. Also, the two side pockets are pretty "stiff" even with elastic expanders. It fits a Tote travel umbrella but looks difficult for some water bottles. So I'm going to buy the Cabinmax for my final comparison! (The Lovevook I will be eliminating because of the small handles and no cross body alternative.) I'm 73, 107 lbs with some walking issues and have rollerboard that weighs 6.5 lbs which is "light." But it's still heavy to me! So every pound counts. I did get a good sleep sheet that weighs 1.25 lbs...I always use a sleep sheet...It's from Walmart by Jitty. Washes and dries beautifully. At my age I may have more items to prop me up (LOL) than clothes! I'm also making a final decision in a few days on a vest because that will help with some of the comfort items that won't have to go into the personal item bag! Coming down to the wire!
Hi @secretariatgirl4249 I ended up going with the Manhattan bag, too, but I also kept the Mygreen bag, the My Green bag holds a lot but I like the Manhattan bag for packing clothes better and since I tend to use a lot of those discount airlines in Europe and I need to actually pack clothing into them.
@@PerriesPassport I may do the same, because the MyGreen will be great for domestic land travel. And I like that the Cabinmax is nice and neat and will be very good for a short trip to visit the relatives in Campobasso from my base in Salerno...and possibly for an air flight within the EU. I do have a question...electronics flying out of Rome to the US! I know TSA is anything that is larger than a cell phone should be taken out (I do have TSA, but who knows) but FCO...I mean...does it mean my luggage scale? My immersion heater? My jump drive? My little food scale? The plug adapters? In other words, the stuff that is not computer related or a power bank? CLEAR AS MUD!! LOL
Hi @pamelagoodson9034 Yes I did and the material they are made out of has not a lot of give so the Metz bag only grew about 1/4 of an inch and the Manhattan bag (it's not called that anymore for some reason) didn't increase at all! Btw, I ended up keeping that bag, since it could hold a computer and I took it Delta and EasyJet and with no problems.
@@PerriesPassport OH,I'm flying Delta and I may want to take a European flight, so hoping that I pick the right one to get to Sicily and the Cabinmax will fit. I've been looking at the various airlines and requirements but I think I will have to do more on the ground research once I get to Italy. Learning all the routes around Italy is another task I can't face right now esp. since it's a big IF.
@@PerriesPassport OH, I'm flying Delta but am considering a possible flight within Europe (from Naples to Sicily, perhaps) so I would have to research when I get there. But Easy Jet is one of the biggest ones around...so this info is great!
@@JD-zt3nr All I can tell you is that the material of the Manhattan bag didn't bludge. It did with the Metz bag. This video was great. I just started researching travel coats and vests with extra pockets, and the scottevests did give me some sticker shock. I love the range of choices you presented here, and I am going to definitely examine each if these more closely. I could get a jacket and a vest for less than the least expensive scottevest.
